That’s the reason he stays for so long in music industry because of his humility.

He is so rich but so humble, he is the living legend. And at the start of Ber months you'll always hear his xmas songs everywhere. I guess this is a good start of doing some collaboration videos with other Pinoy artists or bloggers.

Also he’s just the sweetest to his wife, you know that “love lasts forever” kind of gesture? I’ve seen that in person ❤️❤️❤️ my heart melts all the time i have them as my customer.

He’s one of my Fave passenger when I used to fly for Philippine Airlines ❤️ he’s just so down to earth same as his wife. He also sent me his whole album and he’s just the best. We play it in Christmas Season ❤️

Agree! I've had the privilege of being classmates with one of his kids and you can easily see how, despite how well off they are, they're all kind and down to earth!

Rest assured that he will definitely send you his album. My family loves him esp. my mom. She's really a big fan of his. We accidentally met him in a hotel lobby 2 years ago and my mom who was around 82 y.o that time was the one who spotted him a couple of meters away. And to think my mom's vision is not that clear anymore. We didnt even noticed him! So, my sister went up to him and ask a favor if he could meet my mom. Without any hesitation, he came up and talked with my mom and promised to send her his album. A couple of days later, it arrived. He is truly a great man and that's why a lot of people esp Filipinos love him. I am happy that both of you also got the chance to meet him. He's truly a legend.

Once at our office, his wife came alone as a client that's around August. We started chatting about various things when I mentioned that Perfect Christmas is my favorite JMC song. Then evetually, JMC looking so immaculate on his suit, came to accompany his wife, and I was unconsciously grinning the whole time . He soon realized that all of the staff were fans, he asked for a list of our names before leaving but we didn't think much about it. Later in the afternoon, he went back, handed me a brown envelope and apologized because he almost forgot to give the package. As we opened the envelope, it contained copies of his record album with our names with holiday greetings on each copy. We were touched by the gesture. He's such a gracious man.

Before his "Christmas in our Hearts" album, he's already an established composer and singer. A lot of his classic songs are from his "Constant Change" album. Love his music! 👌❤️

Jose Mari Chan owns a sugar company called Biscom which is 60kms south of Bacolod City. This is where I was born and raised 61 years ago. My dad was an engineer and we lived inside the compound rent-free including utilities. He might invite you to visit his sugar company. I also met him once at L’Fisher Hotel in Bacolod City. He didn’t mind posing for some pics and a short conversation with us. He’s for real, nice and humble guy. Shoutout from us here in Houston, Tx. More power in your vlogs and God bless you more!

Jose Mari Chan is such a humble man that's why his career as a singer/businessman lasted up to this very day.

These days JMC is much more known for his Christmas songs but he was BIG in the 70's. You should look up those songs. Many of them are in English. You'll love them.

Most of his hits were quite short but easy to memorize. I would definitely recommend Refrain, Beautiful Girl, Let's Stop and Talk a While, Constant Change and Please Be Careful with My Heart.

nah! not just in christmas songs but in OPM in general.. it's just so happened he popularized christmas theme but his other songs are great too.. afraid for love to fade, can we just stop and talk awhile, a love to last a lifetime, beautiful girl, and many more... judging from your age you probably born from mid 90's onwards that's why you only knew him on his legendary christmas songs... in terms of song writing, no one else comes close to jose mari chan.. the depth of his lyrics are superb, the melodies are great.. the only reason why he was not so popular is because he flourished in 80's while the filipinos' patriotism was high and he always write his songs in english.. nevertheless, he still recognized by his music alone...

Wow! JMC is genuinely kind-hearted in person. I had a similar chance encounter with the 'The Maestro' in Tagaytay Highlands a few years back, and he was really cordial to fans. Glad you met him. "Can We Just Stop and Talk Awhile", is his chance encounter song. Listen to that if you have time. 🤩😍🥰

Seen him once in NAIA Philippine Airlines Mabuhay Lounge few years ago. He was so nice to the crews and he smiles at everyone. I am happy you get a chance to meet a legendary musician especially now that it's Christmas time.

Didn’t realize he’s Ilonggo! He was up and coming when I left the PI in ‘73. He’s only 2 provinces from Aklan where I’m from. Nice to know.

Yes, JoeMari is the kindest, humblest soul I think you will ever meet. My family also met him in Subic when he was about to perform in a public place for free, cjecking all the details. My mother saw him and shouted his name and he ran toward us and we introduced ourselves and he just like with your encounter, talked almost for 15 minutes about almost everything. He is really a charming man...

Met him at Intercon Manila several years ago and just like you I was so starstruck! When we were introduced to his family his dsughter gifted my niece a Barbie doll and they were all so kind to us. He and his wife used to be missionaries of the Catholic church and their devotion to the church is probably one of the reasons their kindness resonates from within. He is one of my idol singers here in the Philuppines. I am so happy you met him and his wonderful family.
