Feel like it was a bit hard to follow the machine with the camera movement/framerate and so much going on at once visually. I think the best machines are the ones you can clearly follow step by step without having to pause or rewind because you can always tell the cause and effect clearly

I didn't want to be mean and comment anything negative but I agree I had a hard time following what was going on, and to be brutally honest I only found the sound design satisfying, the 3D scans were insane too though
The render was pretty, but the fun of a Rube Goldberg machine is the repeated anticipation and payoff. I couldn't follow why each part was happening, so it became an unconnected series of weird events.

The problem is that there seems to be multiple parallel tracks going on in the machine… making it impossible to follow. That combined with unclear details like the pump (which I had to read about as I just couldn’t see it).
Critique: it would have been better if the camera moved slower and was a little more zoomed out so the viewer has the chance to appreciate the physics of the machine.

critique as a watcher: First one that stood out is obviously, loosing stuff like the beans or the water is not very satisfying but rather the opposite. Camera wobble was really distracting and actually made me a bit motion sick watching (also a bit too much going on at once). The sound design was overall decent but there could've been more ambience considering it was such a big space with lots of stuff happening, maybe even some reverb. Besides that I love how creative the space is, all the small elements and hidden little things are super fun to look at.

I appreciate every little detail in the final render but honestly it's a little bit hard to follow and see what's going on, I wish they made it much slower to make it more satisfying. Either way Great Job!
Beautifully conceived and executed CGI Rube Goldberg contraption, though there are two minor problems. The first is that a good build strives not to waste elements, so you wouldn't have beans lost or water sloshing out. The second is that, though it was exceptionally clear to see, it was still a minor bit confusing as to what was happening due to the camera wobbling about and not more centered on the element in play that is moving from one point to the next. There's so much to see going on around the particular spot that is moving forward that you get too distracted and miss the point of following the beans from beginning to end. Still, awesome creation. Loved it.

I feel like they really struggle with the concept of satisfying. They go so hard on creating something *technically* great that the end product loses most of the core tenants of satisfaction. IMO a satisfying render would be clean, smooth, and easy to follow. Rough 3D scans, junk everywhere, jerky motion and a hard to follow camera for me makes this more like a portfolio of various skills the crew have than a cohesive project with a clear goal in mind. I don't want to shit on the end product because the process is super enjoyable to watch, just wish they'd go all in on one end of the spectrum and succeed, rather than trying to squeeze in so many competing elements that just cancel each other out and hurt the final result. Everything is very impressive individually but together it turns to mush.

I know everyone is giving positive feedback and really don't wanna be the party pooper, but the animation was a bit disorienting and I couldn't focus on the action. There were quick ways to fix it, maybe using a shallow depth of field to remove the distractions in the background or work a bit more on designing the environment and let the eyes focus on the action rather than jumping all over the place. Just throwing an idea out there, when Jake said he is kinda thursty for some coffe, it would have been cool if Fenner put up his phone the same way he did in the animation and it would go through the whole process again in fast motion, and in the end they would be in the kitchen with Jake also being there talking to them and ending the video. This world is rapidly passing away and I hope that you repent and take time to change before all out disaster occurs! Belief in messiah alone is not enough to grant you salvation - Matthew 7:21-23, John 3:3, John 3:36 (ESV is the best translation for John 3:36) if you believed in Messiah you would be following His commands as best as you could. If you are not a follower of Messiah I would highly recommend becoming one. Call on the name of Jesus and pray for Him to intervene in your life - Revelation 3:20. Contemplate how the Roman Empire fulfilled the role of the beast from the sea in Revelation 13. Revelation 17 confirms that it is in fact Rome. From this we can conclude that A) Jesus is the Son of God and can predict the future or make it happen, B) The world leaders/nations/governments etc have been conspiring together for the last 3000+ years going back to Babylon and before, C) History as we know it is fake. You don't really need to speculate once you start a relationship with God. Can't get a response from God? Fasting can help increase your perception and prayer can help initiate events. God will ignore you if your prayer does not align with His purpose (James 4:3) or if you are approaching Him when "unclean" (Isaiah 1:15, Isaiah 59:2, Micah 3:4). Stop eating food sacrificed to idols (McDonald's, Wendy's etc) stop glorifying yourself on social media or making other images of yourself (Second Commandment), stop gossiping about other people, stop watching obscene content etc. Have a blessed day!

It's about the journey not the destination. It's about the friends we made along the way.
I must say, this polycam thing must be the greatest thing designed for rebuilding flats and houses, like you could scan your whole environment, then the designer can show you in VR what they've come up with, then you can approve or disapprove that (not for free, obviously), but at the very least, you would not be negatively surprised with something you don't want at the end, so it's all worth it.

@@bluewhalestudioblenderanim1132 the entire video is a paid advertisement, the company Polycam hired them to make a video that revolves around using their app. they even put the link for Polycam *twice* in the video description lol
Fenner struggling to count how many coffees he has per day is gold
1:30 would have been funny if they passed by a bunch of people playing Smash
This is a masterful render. The combined powers of Fenner, Jordan, and Peter are too much for this world to handle
Nothing beats a satisfying render of coffee in the morning

I need to say that these videos intros are getting crazier and crazier! Good job! Also, it was interesting to see that Jake's coffee is the one produced in the city that I live in!
I feel this video is different than the satisfying series, still awesome to see these 3 working together on a project
I wonder how many takes they had to finish that sketch in the beginning

It wasn't a sketch it was a real dream
When we most needed them, they returned.
That app looks really cool! Those scans are great, and the final product is also sick!
That Wren and Carmichael footage really brings me back - nice job guys!
A minute in and this as already the 2nd best coffee commercial they ever made
That was incredibly cool, but I got lost if I'm honest lol, wasn't sure where to look to follow the sequence, but it was glorious nonetheless. :)
Jordan shooting himself to finish the video is awesome, that's commitment
I LOVE THIS! y'all are amazing. I appreciate the content!!!

What would've been incredible to do would be to have the last part somehow activate something in the real world to dispense coffee. A signal to a solenoid etc.
If anyone was curious how photogrammetry and programs like Polycam are used outside of an artistic setting, archaeologists actually use them! We use programs like this to make photo-realistic renders of artifacts, features, archaeological sites, etc. because it's easier and safer to have a 3d model than it is to physically move something that may be thousands of years old, or that shouldn't be disturbed (i.e. a set of human remains). It's ridiculously cool technology that can be used for a whole mess of really cool things even beyond the art world!
0:55 love how water comes out of the cups after they just made coffee
Audio Engineers React!!
The satisfying renders series is my favourite (especially machines), I'm glad you are continuing to do it
Wow i loved this 😂 It was like watching how it felt to read I-Spy books as a kid. An odd sense of nostalgia I didn’t know I wanted. Keep it up ❤️
lmaoo that jake skit was top notch! makes the whole video
Mom said, “if you don’t have anything nice to say, then don’t say anything at all”…, so the sound design was wonderful. Really fantastic work on the sound my man! The sound was so real, sharp and true. Chef’s kiss. 👌
I can imagine Jake doing a performance review for the corridor crew. "I see you do alot of this during office hours... how can we make that into a video?"
Just realized that 3d scans on their phones is the equivalent of musicians/producers recording any sound they hear in public that catches their ear with potential the same way objects catch their eyes.
Loved the video the final result was insanely good!
