Could you describe how the weapons are more difficult to handle, specifically? Is there more recoil, weapon sway, an aiming deadzone or something similar?

Why do you sprint with your gun up? Sometimes my gun does it but most of time it’s just held sideways while sprinting

It's part of the mods we were using. It's the hardcore sprinting animation. You can see it for yourself in the base game if you play the hardcore modes
