Suga isn't saying what you think in Korean NEGA means you. But because the E vowel is short, it sounds like the other word you thought. It happens a lot when people hear it. 🙂

I'm also Lisa, originally from Central IL. : ) I discovered both BTS and the Whatcha Got to Say guys in 2020--and both were some of my lockdown happy places (I was living in CA at the time, and they were definitely a bit of brightness in crazy times). And honestly, I loved how, when the rest of the world seemed to be telling us to focus on our differences (esp. racial) and to keep apart, being on the BTS journey of discovery with Nico & AJJ & Blaze gave me hope for America. If a middle aged white lady from CA was bonding with three younger black dudes over a Korean boy band. . . anything is possible. : )

Yoongi’s genuinely got a golden hand when it comes to music in my opinion. From an artistic standpoint, he knows both his own style and the artist that he’s collaborating with’s style INCREDIBLY well and knows how to make both blend well which is what leads to all of these unbelievable songs. Psy is mostly known internationally for Gangnam Style, but if you dig deeper into his discography, it’s actually jam packed full of bops. Knowing some of Psy’s other discography, I can straight up say that this song just SCREAMS Psy, but it also screams Yoongi with not just his rap but also some of the musical techniques he used in the instrumental. It’s truly amazing what they were able to pull of with this and I love it so much lol Also last thing because this is getting too long lol I’m a BIG fan of the dance crew that choreographed this, they’re called BB Trippin and they’ve choreographed for a BUNCH of other Korean artists and they’re honestly absolutely incredible. Shout out to them on the choreo for this because it was unbelievable 👌🔥

When Yoongi said he was only planning to write the song, I cackled cause I knew Psy was up to something. Not only did he ask him to produce and be featured, but to go the extra mile and get him to learn the choreography AND be in the music video! Suga is one of those people who will never speak on dancing, but if you pay attention to him it is clear that he is a strong dancer. Always been impressed by Yoongi but I’m glad to see his talents put on blast even more. 💪🏽💜

To take Yoongi out of the picture, with BTS, you see just how good of a dancer he really is. This was beyond phenomenal. I laughed when Yoongi said he thought he was just going to give Psy a song. But Psy said, no you don’t, get yourself back here. We have a video to do.

I laughed further when suga was giving psy different version recordings of the verse “minyeungi and park jaesang.” He knew psy uses a hype up technique that raises the tone of voice and Suga actually did that without being requested to because he knew psy wants that style of tone he likes

Veteran ARMY would have to correct me, I’ve only been ARMY for four years, but I think Yoongi was dance line at one point early in their careers, but his shoulder injury limited him. Obviously he could still dance, but he would get exhausted and/or more sore much quicker. Which is why in some videos or practices he dances in tiny. Again, don’t quote me on this, as I’m not one hundred percent sure. Either way, Yoongi is amazing and this collaboration was one I didn’t know I needed. 💜💜

Suga was not in the dance line. He was even lied to in the beginning before signing. He asked would he have to dance and they told him no. Originally, V wasn't in the dance line and JK was in part of the rap line but they stopped that and just had him vocal and dance and V joined the dance line.

Oh my Gosh! I discovered BTS with Dynamite in 2020, but I fell down the BTS rabbithole last October and became ARMY ever since. I'm a French lady, 52 years old, and I have been on emotional rollercoasters with these 7 wonderful talented funny intelligent young men. I watched almost all their MVs from debut, all their dance practices, many Run BTS episodes (I think I never laughed as much in a so short period of time), and Bon Voyage (the 4 seasons), In the Soop (the 2 seasons), many live performances on YT, many contents on Weverse media, their interviews, their TV shows, I watched their two online concerts (in Seoul and LV : I think ones of my happiest moments ever) and I 'm updated with every news about them ever since. But, I discovered your reaction videos 2 days ago (Why only now? Where was I?!!!) and they are so great, full of energy and good vibes, and you seem really thrilled by our boys and it fills me with joy. Really. This That That reaction of yours was DOPE! Suga's opening - "Nae-gah (내가)" - means "I". He said "야, 내가 뭐 하는 사람인지 잊어 버렸지?" meaning, "Hey you (or Bruh, as it was put in the sub), forgot what I do for a living?". The Korean sentence order is different to the one in English, and "I" comes to the the front of this sentence. I just don't want you or any other English speakers to misunderstand him.

Maybe this is why trying to learn Korean is difficult to me. The sentence structure is different than English, neither being superior to the other, English over Korean or Korean over English. It’s not just a matter of switching words. I’ve wondered if the same confusion exists for Koreans to learn English. I wonder if BTS has felt this. Yes RM speaks (very good) English but he was very high in his classes and LOVES to read. Saying that I am not implying the others are dumb. As for this song-I love it and think I would even if Suga was behind the scenes only. It’s catchy, the choreography is good and the lyrics are current to what’s happening in the world. Everybody is sick of being confined in reality and spirit. Suga’s dancing was amazing! He’s been holding back on us! I hope this song brings many accolades for Psy and Suga.

@@rpb638183 yes learning sentence structure first makes learning any language much easier in my experience. I found a very simple way of breaking it down on google. I hope it’s helpful: “Basic Korean sentences comprise of the order of subject-object-predicate. It is different from English sentences organized in the order of subject-predicate-object. While it is described as “I like swimming” In English “I swimming like” in Korean.

PSY's album is fire! He collabed with a lot of amazing artists. Check out the interviews of Yoongi and Psy if you get a chance. Yoongi says their besties now. In another interview PSY talked about how he was struggling with the other tracks on the album but after working with Yoongi he was so inspired he was able to finish. That's our Yoongi!

That part where Psy has blood and Yoongi's like sad or mourning him a bit, is saying that Psy is ready to leave his Gangnam days behind but not completely. Just stretch his range more and dive into a 2022 version of himself. It's such a genius thing, it's basically what Yoongi did for his 'Daechwita'.
