Instantly recognised that this was Kirinji when I first heard it. I have no idea how Kirinji consistently puts out the good stuff

I’ve been listening to this song for years and just today I realized its sung by one of my favorite bands kirinji?!?!?!? god I love them and the katamari series

Happened to me too!

This song in particular is pretty different from the rest of the songs in Katamari Damacy. I like to think it is sung from the perspective of the King of all Cosmos.

The lyrics do really fit the King, especially after we see his childhood in this game. “I dreamed of being big and strong, of having a power that could level everything. But that’s a dream for the weak. I no longer have need for such things.”

Finally a version with the English lyrics.

So cool to see the translation--thank you!! ❤ Kirinji is everything and Katamari is the universe in which Kirinji is contained.

Thanks to Katamari I've discovered one of my favorite bands.

Just watched vinny vinesauce's katamari stream and this song popped up I was like.... "Kirinji" AND I WAS RIGHT ON THE MONEY 🎉 Found the guy's music around 3 years guy through Jikanganai. This game is the last place I thought I would find a Kirinji song.

yeah i know, the song is written for bandai namco (keita takahashi) itself but the artist is kirinji so...

the credit listed in the WLK Ost CD it just says "Song: Kirinji (Yasuyuki Horigome, Takaki Horigome)", so I wouldn't it's wrong (The ingame credits are more specific though, aren't they?)
