Thanks for the session. I have a few queries related to the Focus edition test which remained unanswered during the session. Here are a few of them: 1. How are the verbal ques in the DS section difficulty-wise of the Focus Edition? Do they look like the CR ones or something else? 2. How different are the percentile score rankings of the verbal section in comparison with the quant section of the new Focus Edition? 3 Unlike, in the Focus Edition we won't be able to see our score section-wise at the end of the test, the way it was presented at the end of the current version. 4. What is the overall difficulty level of the test? Any thoughts?? Thanks in Advance!

Thank you for the question :-) 1. I believe Ryan or Souvik mentioned that the non-math related DS questions were similar to some of the other DS questions that were available in the past and resembled the LSAT logic puzzles. They were not like the CR questions in the old IR section is how I took it. 2. I am not sure how to answer this question, but you can see some percentile charts for Focus Verbal/Quant as well as Classic editions overlayed with each other here: gmatclub.com/forum/percentiles-on-gmat-focus-vs-gmat-classic-420268.html 3. Correct. I am not sure why this is, but you get to see your percentiles for the sections but not the scores. Then when the score becomes reportable in a few days you see the scores as well. It is a strange thing. 4. If you look at Souvik's score, he got the exact same percentiles on Quant and Verbal he got last time - 92nd in Quant (that's about Q50, and 98th in Verbal, that's V42-45) so the difficulty was comparable and DI was the hardest part for many people on the panel, except Naveen it seems. This was discussed in the first part of the video. Let me know if any other questions. I have not taken the actual test personally, but I took over 10 GMAT Prep's and can always bug someone who did 😇 -BB

@@gmatclub Hey BB, Please give me some time. I am a little confused about which one should I go for (the current one or the Focus Edition). Can we hold this discussion privately? Please there are a few concerns about the test which I am not able to explain here.

Does the first 10 Questions rule still matter for Focus edition ?

We did some experiments to check the importance of first 6 (not 10) questions on GMAT Focus and found that it is not as important as it used to be on GMAT Classic. The DS has moved from pure math to more logic based questions. Which means you will see more word problems than hardcore quant questions such as a^2 - b^2 = ?

The co-ordinator is bang average and tremendously subjective in his statements which doesn't help
