Ha! My son (black) used to call people by their hair colour! Before I worked it out I was so stumped. Calling someone blatantly white black, etc! 😂😂 And I used to be a nanny and look after a little boy who was white. I remember him pointing to a photo of a black African looking woman and saying that was his mum???? His mum was white with dark hair, literally zero African about her. Absolutely no idea to this day what he was referring to, but it cracked me up! Love kids! 😂😂😂😂😂

My baby plays on her tablet and accidentally clicks videos in Español and she would smile and say not the right talkin mama so I could help her get to English. I would try to explain there are different languages and what not I want her to learn Spanish actually.. We were in a store and a small group of ladies were speaking Spanish, and she said really loud that's not the right talkin mama! They laughed, but I wonder if she was trying to have me fix it so she could understand them 😆

@@Losethelosers first off no one ever said they are bad people to Abriel , from what ive seen they appears to be superb parent to him.. However bringing up a black child and teaching him that his color is insignificant or irrelevant is a disservice to any black child in America .. It him that will have to go out there and face the cruelty that others black child exoerience in America. Abe will go through thing that their daughter will never face ,That reality .. it time we stop being pretensive and believe the world will love him as they do . If you do, its one reason why a lot of bp dont like transracial adoption because it give children a false sense of reality and its wrong. Eg Some adoptive parent enroll these kids in all wyte school , hoping that the children at school won't notice, when they poor kid stick out like sore thumb and the kids make life hell for them. ThT being black in america . Some people like to get into feeling when the community point out thing that may be harmful to our children instead of trying to understand from others prospective,Just dangerous!

I specifically mentioned that it appears that they are bringing him up exposed to black people, INCLUDING his biological family, who are in the picture as his was an open adoption. My referencing his exposure to people who resemble him was exactly to address the importance that he have such access so he can maneuver the racist WORLD in which we live. Take aim at somebody else.

Children do not see skin color. All they see is who loves them. Ease up on cultural differences. Just make sure he's well adjusted and knows he's loved. That counts way more. Make sure you answer honestly when he does have questions. Abe is fine and he has great parents.

What a great way to teach about color. Fyi little boys who are allowed to carry around and plays with dolls teaches them how to care and have compassion I have 2 grandsons I did this with and they are very compassionate and giving learned this from my mother in law

They don't care about skin colour....but whether you like it or not....he has a master identity. Normally when a parent raises a child....their master identity will be entertwined between what they see in their everyday lives and the identity they build around that. Mother, father, what they eat, play with, games they play etc etc. He is building his identity based on white dolls, parents, etc etc. Just be aware of that. A black parent would not necessarily do that- and that might be what you need to consider. Because he has no problem with that now- doesnt necessarily mean that he won't do when he is older.
