"We Hymn Thee" Rachmaninov - Sretensky Monastery Choir
Музыка
Here is a haunting performance of Rachmaninov's setting of "We Hymn Thee," with a strong Bb1 from oktavists Nikolay Sharapov, Vadim Zaripov, Kostantin Medvedev, and Vladimir Semechev on the penultimate chord.
Soprano solist: Inna Demenkova.

I sit here 1+ years into a military conflict in the Ukraine rooted in aggression started many years before that and from beyond Ukraine’s borders. If the combatants on all sides had the chance to absorb the beauty of music such as this, perhaps they would refuse to be driven by the people exploiting them.

Did this woman embody the voice of an angel? it is not possible for someone to reach this level of tuning like this.

Each of us, including you, is religious, deep down. At minimum, Harold Bloom's words apply: "I’m a sort of Emersonian Gnostic. I believe, as Emerson did, in the god within-that there is loaded within the rock of ourselves that oldest and best part of us, which in some curious sense is divine."

Faith existed before a word named Religion ever was. All people had faith in their GOD , the only one God the one Faith. Internationally and Globally . Religion was the separator and killer of billions of Controlled slaves by it.
Holy God, Holy Mighty, Holy Immortal, have mercy on me, Amen. O Lord, You who steadied the hand of Peter as he began to sink on the stormy sea, if you are with me, no one is against me. Grant to me the shield of faith and the mighty armour of the Holy Spirit to protect me and guide me to do Your will. The future I put into Your hands, O Lord, and I follow You to a life in Christ. Amen. Glory to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost, now and forever and unto the ages of ages, Amen.

I don't think I ever saw a conductor so expressive in his movements . He is gently shepherding the sound of the choir's voices ; or maybe I don't always pay attention .
