I got to your channel cuz of GBVSR and i admire your proficiency in fighting games and labbing characters. I also admire how good you are even with 3d fighters like tekken

Hey Diaphone, not a Tekken question but Google can't find anything on it; What do Fighting Game players think of the Dead or Alive series? Jokes about jiggle physics aside I'd (and I wince to type this out in case I'm very wrong) put it in a similar category to Tekken as far as the speed and cadence of combos etc, as well as a similar level of "study-potential". The combo lists are rather long in DoA but many of the combo strings are 5 or more buttons and it always put me off the games. But I never see it played professionally so I wondered if the "community at large" sees it as invalid?

For various reasons, 3D fighters that aren't Tekken are often left by the wayside. For Dead or Alive, it's a combination of the devs truly not caring about their game, bad monetization, and the fans largely just being more interested in gooning to whatever is going on in "Xtreme Venus Vacation" than learning a fighting game.

DOA was and still is played comeptitively but it's def more niche than most fighters. I wasnt really around when DOA was played competitively and there hasnt been a new one in forever so I cant say too much

lol you must have never played any of the previous Tekkens. You can sidestep a lot of Eddy’s moves. He said that his f 3+4 is cracked but it’s super slow, can be sidestepped unlike other character heat engages. He has 35 less moves than previously, and he can’t duck attacks in handstand anymore. He’s not S tier. He’s maybe B tier.

Is it just me or has anyone else seen the clip of eddy “sidestepping” jack 8’s one shot punch by standing still? I feel like it’s unnecessary for eddy to have a small side step in his idle, even though u won’t see it in a match often

He is so much fun to play but I'm just way better with Azucena rn. He's def someone I'll pick up on the side tho eventually
