I feel about Twitter like I do my ex; Ill call her my ex, but thats not a trophy she should want to carry with her as her name tag.

A guy spent billions to buy twitter. A brand with such brand recognition, it had VERBAGE. You Google, You Hover, You Tweet. Companies would sacrifice their CEO atop a blood alter to Baal for that kind of customer recognition. The guy threw it all away to fulfil his X dream he's had since before Paypal kicked him off the board for having an X dream he wouldn't shut up about. I support every dumb move he makes because it's hilarious. Go X.

This clearly goes against the BBC's impartiality rules.

And by X, surely you mean the display protocol X, developed in the 80s for Unix, formerly known as XFree86 (alternatively the X Window System), to be replaced soon by Wayland? Because that's the only X I know.

I am willing to die on this hill of never calling this abomination of a platform X! Even if in 20 years thus a) still exists and b) is still called such, I will not follow.

Ill start calling it X if Xzibit buys the platform.

As someone mentioned, it is up to the user base. For example, the sub reddit Imgur is supposed to be pronounced image-r, but most users call it be Im-gur. Twitter shall stay purely out of defiance.
