As a person who does a lot of swimming training your pool looks so nice. A pool without chlorine sounds and looks amazin

As a person that swims in a river every summer (it’s right behind our house) I can confirm: no chlorine is awesome

I believe chlorine is better when you have a pool in your backyard and is always their to clean it and do stuff to it but if you want something that’s their and low maintenance then no chlorine ponds/rivers are 1000% better. You can just hop in and swim.

The shallow sides are supposed to have way more plants though. If they had proper planting, they wouldn't have the issue with the algae.
So cool to see such a great father and son relationship! That's when a dad knows he's done it right!
Everyone needs a dad like you. Keep up the good and funny video’s
The “unidentified swim object” you saw was most likely the nymph stage of the dragonfly. You will get many of them breeding in a healthy ecosystem. They are good to have around. They are also predatory and will eat anything small that doesn’t eat them first!

I love you pool. If we had more fathers in this world like you we would have a better world.
I have 4 acres here in Arizona and right now the temp outside is 110 F. I would love to have one of these! Let me tell you how lovely it is to hear and see the fun banter between father and son. Swimming is a great way to get exercise for us seniors as well. I am 68.
"Thank you Dad!" at 7:59 awwwwww so cute. Gorgeous swimming pond!
I would love to do a project like this with my dad on both his and my property we live in the woods/country as well and we love what you all have done with your natural swimming pool and waterfall…It’s really 😊beautiful and I wanted to add that the White Oak wall feature is extra special for all your own pets and wild animals will have a place to maneuver out of safely if they get into the deepest part of the pool they are is always a way out with the walls. Thank you for sharing. Jennifer Blanchard-Fletcher in Oregon
Thanks for clarifying some of my doubts about the pool. Amazing content, keep up the great work!!!!
What a fun family…..Love you guys and wish you decades of pleasure in your beautiful pool ❤
This is educational about natural swimming ponds. This seems like a very nice alternative to the regular swimming pools. Thank you for sharing! God bless you! ✝
Any issues with mosquitoes? Love this natural pool. Could you also add koi fish too? Our goldfish are huge in our pond. Also, we have the frogs 🐸 serenading us too. Excellent job and love those oxygenating plants & flowers too! 🥰👍

No. Mosquitos won’t lay eggs in moving water 👌
absolutely wonderful. best family vids ever.... learned a great deal looking forward to attempting our own natural swimming pool!
Absolutely beautiful pool You guys did a wonderful job Thanks for educating us about the plants and filtering system I could fall asleep to that noise. Sounds so much better than commercials.
Hahaha!! You guys are great! Love your 'natural' pool, loved your humorous explanation of how the 'natural' pool works and loved your duck prank! There's always going to be haters but I appreciated your video of making the pool and I appreciate this follow up even more. I'm concerned about the ducks in the pool, I have gotten something called swimmers itch a couple times because of the bacterial content in the water from the ducks but it sounds like you know what you're doing. Happy swimming!
What I am taking away from this video is: Family implements a well-thought out, intentional plan and gets uninformed questions from people who would not actually do it themselves 🤭
Love your pool, and the relationship you both have is even better. Huge thumbs up...! And your dog is very awesome too.
I am loving vicariously through you and your beautiful pool!! Going back and watching all your videos now. I live in the suburbs in Sydney, Australia. I can’t begin to imagine how much it would cost to build this needing to buy all the materials. Your pool and land are absolutely beautiful. And your father and son relationship is lovely 😊

It wasn’t that much actually he said it in a previous video I do know it was thousands cheaper than a real pool!

Nice! Thanks for sharing!💕
He needs his own show. I could listen to him explain bacteria and rotting all day 🤣🤣
I don't understand people that hate other people's joy. The only important thing is is that you guys made something you guys enjoy and as long as you're happy with it that is the only thing that matters. Thanks for explaining your design and decision process for this project and looking forward to what this will look like with all the plants in there!
Enjoy your beautiful pool …. I love it.😊
Your Pool looks amazing. Many natural pools I've seen look like normal pools with the added plant/sediment layer, but yours actually does look natural. I think you will have a hard time to keep algae growth under control, a really really hard time honestly given how many trees are around it and how many animals are inside of it...but on the other hand you have trees and fish and a turtle in your natural pool, which is amazing. =)
So refreshing great work yall !
Love this.
You guys are an inspiration. Very cool build. I didn't know that there was that type of terrain in NM. Looks tropical.
If you don’t have an exact number, what would your estimate be for how much the whole project cost?
I love the way he explained with his passionately. Thank you so much
You guys did a splendid job. Awesome!!!
Love this so much. I hope in the future you have more views for the stuff you make
Those of us that care for reptiles, amphibians, and fish will often used what's called a "Clean-up Crew" of which varies depending on the biome created. For example, most aquariums will is use a combination of shrimp and snails to help clean up algae. My question is: is that something that could be applicable to your natural swimming pool and the buildup of string algae?

Yes those can help a great deal, but this pool and most of these natural pools are not designed as habitats. They try to rely on fitters that eventually clog and don't make for very good habitat.

@@BeautifuLakesStreamsBiologists yeah, that's a good point but I feel like it would be fairly inexpensive and would pay for itself in the long run to convert it to be more of an actual pond pool

What a wonderful project congratulations are in order. Jesus Christ bless you hugs from Amazonas Brazil
truly a work of art with an amazing touch of nature.
Ducks pooping in the water creates super nutrients so I wouldn’t want them in my natural pool. As a previous pool owner I love the advantages of a natural pool. No chlorine stripping your hair; don’t have to bathe to remove chlorine; no daily pool vacuuming; bathing suits last. I’m sure I could up with many more.
Sooo happiness !!!!! congratulations pals !!!
I think you have done a wonderful job. Thanks for explaining the wood. The setting, the landscape, the whole thing is really beautiful, thanks so much for sharing the journey. I used the water hyacinth plant in our turtle pool and found out the hard way the the roots sting. lol I was wondering if you ran into that at all, and they are very toxic to pets. But your dog looks very intelligent, and he knows, don't eat the poison plant, or he would have by now! He's beautiful btw. Just sharing! Keep up the great work and videos, that was some undertaking indeed!!!😃💯
Beautiful and amazing. Please continue posting a videos of your pond...😊
Wow, fantastic! Great job you guys.
You guys are awesome. Keep being you!
This is the best natural swimming pool I've ever seen 🙂🙂🙂🙂🤣🙂
Nice video too, with helpfull explanations. You look as a funny family! All the best for you! You must be proud of your work!
I watched you construct your pool and now this one. The natural pool is beautiful and so clean and clear well done it is really lovely wish I had one!!! lol
Beautiful pool! Great job!
Your pool is absolutely gorgeous!
Just awesome guys - great job !
Very nice 👍
I *love* your natural pool and your property is gorgeous.
Must have been expensive, nice natural pool though. Very cool✌️
Lovely pool!
Thanks for explaining what a natural pool is.
I absolutely love your guys pool. How you guys worked on it together. Everything:)
I love this pool, you guys did a terrific job. I'm sure you've done your research regarding introducing fish to the pond, so I've gotta ask if you aren't at all concerned with the build-up of fish sludge (poop)?

THESE VIDEOS ARE SO HELPFUL. THANK YOU
Awesome job...well done.
I've never known anyone to actively purchase and want to keep hyacinth. They're one of the worst aquatic weeds there is. They form dense mats that can clog waterways and they significantly affect biodiversity by killing off other water plants as well as removing oxygen from the water so nothing can live in there. I can understand there would be a reason as to why you would want to keep hyacinth as you want to have it as a clear fresh water pool but it's just crazy to me. Great pool by the way.
Well done with your natural pool! Would love to have like this one in my farm.
water hyacinth is totally a good call, your gonna have string algea problems until your plants really grow in but that stuff grows massively quick and is really good at pulling nutrients from the water, it doesnt handle cold well if your in an area that it gets cold in it will probably all die so just be aware of that come winter, you probably already know that but just incase you dont!
Nice job! Was wondering what your plan of attack is for the leaves? I have a pool in the woods also and I know it’s sometimes very overwhelming trying to stay ahead.
Very nicely done.. wonderful doing it with your son! Frank in Colorado

I love your take on negative comments your not here to please anyone, but share your journey. People will be people. sometimes helpful sometimes not. Keep being you, but dont stress or address these negative commenters they do not deserve your time and mental capacity. Praise those they gave you good advice and ignore the nay sayers. guess what. they still watched the video and left a comment only giving you bettr metrics. Keep it up guys.
The plants that need a shelf might be able to survive on a float. (Can't remember for sure, but I think it was coconut fiber zip-tied to cut pool noodles.) Other YT channels that show natural pool tech show them. What an amazing pool, would love to see more about it as the plants grow and it changes. So lovely that your dog can swim too, can't do that in a chlorinated pool without having to shock it.
You & your dad are awesome!!

Well done! This is the best pool I have seen and if I were to have a made pool I would want it to be just like this one - with natural materials to create the clear water, very clever. It's soo beautiful with the natural surroundings.
Can you give the rough measurements of things inside and outside the wall? Eventually going to do something similar, and curious of what size you all went with.
Love it as much as the first video.
Hey, I love your pool. Trying to convince my wife that we need one, too. What's the e-book you used when building?
I think you did an amazing job on your pool. It’s absolutely beautiful.❤
Where is your location? And how much was the pool? Looks great and love the flower!!
Ein Traum von Schwimmteich, einfach großartig! Liebe Grüße aus Österreich!!❤
Great looking pool/pond. Smart guy too.
Nice pool! Would love to know what the book you bought was called/where I could buy it?
Question on liner and dog. I am looking to put in a natural pool, I have dog, and friends have dogs. My concern is as they are crawling up the bank it will dislodge the rocks, sand and rip the liner. Have you had issues with your pup as they chase, swim and crawl out getting to liner? Thanks for the vid, I like how you did your walls, they are lower in the pond so you can sit on and still be in the water, and wider. Other vids they were taller and narrow. I also like you did not do a sq shape swim area.
Hi from Danmark 😂❤❤ Just so good you have it narural💧 ❤❤ 🌏🌱💧🌳🐝🌞🌈 And it is so beautiful ❤ the ducks 🦆🦆😂
You have a very nice natural pool! Well done!
Would you please make a video with the maintenance that a pool like yours requires, and its costs?
How much did this pool cost and did you end up going over budget. It is so lovely!!
If you ever wanted to, would you be able to convert the filter setup to turn it into a chlorinated pool?
Could your "USO" be what I've heard called a boatman? I don't know if you guys get those around that area but we had a bunch in our pool. We had what seemed like two different types but they may be the same just in different life cycles. Haven't found a natural way to get rid of them yet that has worked. Thank you guys for the great adventure! Beautiful pool :)
Could you give more info on clay balls where you get them in a bulk amount and your cost
How do you remove the leaves? Do you just go out for a few minutes each day during autumn and net them up?
Do u have methods for controlling mosquitoes? Thank you!
Question. Do you run your pump constantly?
That’s what she said 😂 Love it
You are such a sweet family
i'm so happy you like your pool!!
Question. How many times after filling did you have algae breakouts before your pool settled clear?
Great.
Hey! I would like to know a little bit about the cost (more or less) of making a pool like this. I'm from Spain and I do like a lot your videos. Thanks for all!
Well done sirs. You're giving me ideas. I love when people do DIY home projects. Making your home better while saving money. Great job. People who don't like it can get Ducked

Question: Can you use sand on top of the gravel to promote comfort to the feet?
every video good! :)
You guys are so cute! And your dad is cool.
How would this do in a place where winter can be pretty rough?
