In their own way, they do understand her. They go by the inflections in her voice and the actual sounds of the words mean different things. Canine scientists have estimated that dogs can understand a vocabulary of around 150 words....IF they are trained to associate the sound of the word with the action, request, reward, task etc. Tucker and Todd have a very stimulating and interesting life with humans that train them, so I think they do "get it" although not how we might perceive it. I've had GSDs all my adult life and I know they are very adept at putting together the sound of a word, with vocal inflection, facial expression and body language.

U cannot give bath to dogs during cold i have golden too

One of the bed things you can do for a dog/cat/kid with a cold (upper respitory infection) is to close them in a steamed up bathroom. I have 2 older cats with chronic URI and I bought a hot mist vaporizer for them.
