We had to turn around.. Beginners vs GNARLY Single Track

Ойын-сауық

Met up with my buddy ‪@urbexcross‬ out here in Arizona and went on a Dual Sport ride only to find some of the gnarliest single track in the mountains. He has only been riding for a couple years now and this was his first day at elevation so at 8,000 feet and climbing he was getting worn out pretty quick.
My CRF250F was handling this rocky single track like a champ apart from the low ground clearance and wide peg profile. We ended up making the decision to turn around as the trail kept getting gnarlier and Nick was pretty gassed.
We had a full day of riding ahead of us so I didn't want to completely drain the dude on this hard enduro style riding!

Reminds me of riding the rj russo kelly canyon enduro course just south of Flagstaff, dropped beta 390 a bunch and kept bashing the skid plate, got dehydrated at the end and kept puking. And the weather was way cooler than now!

I carry a compact chair with me for breaks when riding off road. Sometime when exploring you get in over your head and need a break. Having a place to sit and rest while I eat a protein bar and drink water helps me.

Man, if you struggled on a pimped out 250F, then it had to be tough! I love the flowy sections. Not a fan of the slow, rocky, technical stuff. Great video though.
