Ive been watching since around 2016 and you gave me so much hype i started fishing with my dad. You have been my favorite channel ever since, loved watching your catch clean and cook fishing videos and always wanted to fish with you. Since my dad died in 2021, i watched your videos non stop to get through it, and it helped more than you think. Thank you, and im glad you were with me for these rough 7 years

Used to catch Spanish mackerel in the Gulf of Mexico with my gramps. He passed away 8 years ago. This video brightened up my day!

I love seeing the excitement coming from someone that is fishing especially when they are catching and landing fish. I would take strangers and friends fishing and get them all set up to catch something and when the fish is on - the light up with the greatest appreciation and joy. Good times Rob, you're always extending kindness to others. What a great example you continue to show the world. God Bless and Be Well my friend.

Took my dad out fishing for his 75th Bday and crushed some Spanish mackerel and even caught the first King Mackeral of the season. Had a blast.

My son is on the spectrum. Heartwarming to see this. 🙌

I have never been hunting nor have I ever been fishing, and yet I’m so addicted to your channel. I’m head over heels for you, Sarah, Auria and Emma and I don’t think I’ve ever seen a nicer and more loving family. I started watching your videos about a month ago and I’m obsessed, Now my 4 year old granddaughter watches too. We are still a bit of a crybaby on the deer and elk vids but we’re getting tougher 😂 thank you for making this city girl smile and seeing how the other half live!!!

The wife and I live in dawson Creek bc Canada, and it has been a dream of ours to spend a few days fishing and spending some time with your family and friends. What a blessing it would be. Dawson Creek is the start of the Alaska highway.

In January of 1972 I was on my senior class trip. We went to the Bahamas. I went ocean fishing and caught a dolphin fish. This video brought back a very nice memory.

My son got Covid on Monday. He's doing fine, because he's 20 years old. My wife, who's had it 3 time, tested negative and no symptom. I've had it once, tested negative and no symtoms. Let's hear it for us kids that grew up in the '70's! We drank from the garden hose, rode bikes without a helmet and wade fished in blue jeans!!

Ever since he passed away I lost my interest in living and fishing because of my brother and mother passing away back to back in 08 and 09 . I love throwing gotchas for blues and spanish. Blues nail it hard for their size. But you can tell the difference when a spanish hits it.

I love fresh Spanish Mackerel. I smoke it also. Great vid Robert. Agree with your assesment that mackerel does not freeze well, but smoked does freeze well.

It’s always the good ones that get away. Once I had a really nice largemouth on while bank fishing. It ran right for fr. The turned, ran along the bank. Made a perfect jump and then spit it out. That was one nice fish.

I kept my penn reels and heavy rods for fishing below the spillways and in fast water , for catfishing. Now they'll go to my son and grandchildren. I was feeling a little bit better last spring, so I put new braided lines on everything, even down to my ice fishing gear.

Awesome video, every time he was high sticking the rod and putting his hands above the grip while pumping my heart dropped. I was expecting that rod to snap

This makes we with the weather here was nicer and I could get my sailboat out on the water for some fishing.

It is an awesome feeling for me to catch and prepare a fish that a lot of people turn their noses up at, like Spanish Mackerel and dress them out and prepare them like the good Lord intended and convert them into Spanish Mackerel aficionados. My wife Judy and I live in Jensen Beach and we bust them here locally but we took a fishing trip and met a group of friends up in Anclote River and we got into a school of them. I bled them out before icing them down. The two big ones got steaked and grilled and the smaller ones fileted and fried. We were excited but some of our friends were hesitant to eat what one described as Cat food. I offered to order Pizza but asked them to at least try the Mackerel first. They were stunned at how good it was and we still talk about what a great time and meal that was. Not their fault really. Like mushy Asparagus out of a can that Mom used to push on us and we grew up hating Asparagus. Fresh is better and ignorance ain't bliss. ;-)
