We Had a Sloppy Wet Good Time at Hollerwood!

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

The Great American Crawl isn't afraid of a little mud, which is all we found out at Hollerwood off road park this year. The weather was perfect while we were there but before we arrived there was a downpour making for some extremely slippery trails. The crew had a great time navigating the slick rocks and in spite of a few breaks we called day 1 a success.

First obstacle in big widowmaker is the waterfall, not Gatekeeper. Gatekeeper is over on Holiday Hill below Jacob's Ladder. I used to love riding there before the park came along and the sxs's destroyed the trails

RockstarGarage, dump some more money into the sleeping guys rig. It might up his excitement level.

I see some of those rigs don’t have very large lift. Yet that have huge tires and very capable. How do they accomplish this? Thanks.

Lots of clearance work, high clearance fenders, and long travel shocks. Low center of gravity leads to more stability!

The gladiators and silver JKU all run our Motobilt High line fenders which are 3”s higher than stock. Ari’s TJ has the Standard Motobilt fenders with a 2” flare and the GAC Green JKU is running our 2” crusher series fenders as well. They all make a huge difference in tire clearance.

New Title:”How to drive a Jeep into a rock shelf and THEN full throttle it!” You folks should try focusing more on the technical side of DRIVING rather then high HP full sends. Great rig setups, just seems lacking driving skill. Ali seems to do good, but too reliant on spotters.

This sounds like a west coast wheeler comment. We don’t have traction on the east coast that’s why we wheel with a heavy throttle

@@740boyz4 not west coast wheeler. The RockstarGarage videos are great videos, but seem to have too much hammer-down and hang on mentality. Not a good image for the off-road world, and I’m just saying there could be a lot more driving skill shown.

If you go in person, you’d understand. We often get to these parks after bad weather, and after the first few cars that go up, it’s almost impossible to walk to them; usually we try to crawl first but get thrown off line and ultimately, needing wheel speed to continue on.

@@TrailHunters1 I get wheel speed when needed, but to correctly drive the front ent up a shelf then wait ‘til the rear is centered on the shelf/rock/obstacle THEN slam the rear driveshaft into it about 1/2 dozen times til finally winching over seems and looks like MALLCRAWLERS gone Wild! If the front is angled to drive over, maybe have the common sense to know the rearend incoming that way too?! I’ve watched Gridlock full throttle send it, but still be able to stay on the throttle and pick the proper line instead of letting off the go-juice once you’ve moved 2’

@@mattboyer7812I agree also I use a stick tj and xj so I can keep the most control over wheel speed plus stick gives me a lot more torque response when needed
