We got told getting 30+ motorcycles over Hardknott pass was impossible...THIS IS HOW WE DID IT!!!!
Theres no way you will get that many bikes over Hardknott....yes I will!!
The Mighty shred every year pulls people together from all over, with an open invite, to ride the best roads, the hardest roads and try to keep up with some of the wildest power drinkers in all the land!
This year (2024) the Mighty Shred hits the Lake District, UK.
with roads such as Wrynose Pass, Hardknott pass, honister pass, Kirkstone Pass and Newlands pass all on the menu for the Mighty Shredders.
Some of these passes are not for the feint hearted and some aren't suitable for convoy riding!!! :)
Strap in for part 4 of the Mighty Shred 2024 we begin the morning all semi broken from multiple hard nights, hot sun and a previous day of riding!
This is the big test, we attempt to get the Shred convoy over Hardknott pass by first surviving Wrynose Pass.
Its not simply a case of just riding over!
We need to control the flow of other traffic in both ways as well as space the bikes for any topples. We also need to take into account some of the Bikes are 2 up! Hardknott is not somewhere id recommend you take a pillion...unless you're as epic as some of our riders :)
We have multiple angles and cameras going up and down the pass.
Kernow Wheels Cam & Adamcam add into the riding footage.

Good work but you will be aware that you did the easy route. West to east the right hand hairpin at the top of the Hardknott claims many victims. And usually there are lots of cars on the road.! However you made it.

Didn’t know that route But I had to plan for pillions and bike values in excess of £25k 🤣🤣🤣
