We got caught is a massive tornado storm while visiting Bentonville for their annual Bentonville Bike Fest. The week started off great with lots of biking and awesome people, but took a massive turn for the worse after day two had ended. We were lucky enough to escape to a nearby hotel to bunker down and wait out the passing tornado. Then Breck had to fly home to be with her grandfather during his last days.

Once the sirens go off it's a warning. A tornado warning means there is a tornado on the ground. A tornado watch means the weather has the potential of creating a tornado. Something I've become way to used to living in the Midwest! You all handled that wonderfully!

Thanks Julie! That was definitely a wild experience. The sirens had been going off for a good 20 minutes before I woke the kids up to take them to the hotel. The air got real eerie and then we received an aggressive phone alert stating "Tornado on the Ground. Seek Shelter Immediately." Glad we made it through and glad everyone we were with was safe as well.
So sorry for your loss breck.thats a hard time to go through.
