Hot tip Sarah, when picking up grubs rubbish use a plastic bag as a glove, avoids getting their contamination. The 50 made it worth it! Spent 2 weeks camped near Blue Lagoon yonks ago, drove all over the Island. Your right Keels, it is the best place ever. If those were 'bull sharks'' they are the same as the Swan River Whaler, that caused the disappearance of many a prawner in the Swan River. Looking forward to your trip to Fraser!

Moreton Island is by far my favourite island out of the 3 you've done in this little series. Looks bloody stunning!! It's great to see you got some KFC while there too (Kooringal Fish & Chips) looked bloody delicious. Also thanks for the reminder of one of the best Aussie kids shows ever made, "Round the Twist"

As a regular to Moreton for 25 years plus I know how you feel. Love the place. Go to straddle often as well. Prefer camping west side. More shelter. Only a short drive to fish and surf the east beaches. You can catch some great fish from the close in reefs on the west from the shore.

Have you ever had fresh pippies to eat. Guys make sure they are fresh and just boil the pippies until the shell opens up and makes a chillie dipp or your favourite dip that you have with seafood . This is a great entree to start a meal

The blue crabs are Soldier Crabs...awesome video guys...outstanding bit of paradise for sure!

So bloody awesome what you guys are doing. I done it back in 1997-99 and never made it across to WA (your home country) fell in love with QLD and most of all NTH QLD. now reside in the Last Frontier of the Mighty NT. Keep the videos rolling guys, love em.

Moreton is the best place we used to camp In one of the old bunkers it had bunk beds and chairs inside and picnic table and chairs on the roof. The soldier crabs are awesome to watch.We always see so many sharks cruising the coast line no swimming for me anymore. Great to watch the videos cheers.

Love this episode. Keen to see the battery pack you were talking about. Would be something that would hopefully good for our set up

Definitely west side, as the prevailing winds on most of these islands are south easterly. So, the west side is usually calmer.

Nice video, me and my wife we lived on Moreton for 3 years, we loved it..

That point break. Heaps a tiger and grey nurse sharks. Good fishing for Tailor. East side in season. When the wattle blooms. Shhh. Many people do not realise there ince was a whaling station on Moreton. And a lot of the sharks alive now remember that station. West side in winter fir good flathead fishing. Them soldier crabs are good bait. Fraser Island DO not attempt to go past Indian heads with a van. Good vid again 👌

Beautiful place to hang out for 5 days. I remember the one on Rotto and climbing up and over the steel door & into the bunker with no torch back in the late 70s 😮

$50 fine for leaving a mess, not enough I reckon 😉 Driving the 200 without a van on, you must be loving it😂😂 That long wave was cool That bunker was more likely an observation post to direct artillery that would have been in cover behind the hill and unseen from the sea 👍 Another fantastic episode team 🏆🏆

Awesome vid. Those sharks looked like Bronze whalers and if you sore the plaques the rock at Yellow patch of dudes taken by the old resident Tiger shark. But you can get sick as surf there.

I recon a bit off grain or crushed up weatbix in a bearly bucket sitting in the water will end up bringing the fish too u

Moreton Island is on our door step (Brissie) don't get over there enough, bloody paradise. Both sides are great camping, it all depends on the wind and if you want to drive around, can be limited with the tides on Eastern side. But, it's paradise. Loved the Ep 🏖😎🍻

Fantastic video mate really enjoyed it that Morton Island is wow factor. I believe that island has the big massive sand dunes were people going sand boarding etc . Just can’t get over how beautiful the fish and the turtles are swimming around you both. Those Bull sharks would of freaked me out lucky they were not around you when you were surfing. So looking forward to next week adventure take care guys

Would be great to see a video on permanent 2nd battery setup Vs portable power station. For me the portable station seems to tick more boxes, but just need to make sure you go big enough as there are no upgrade components.. Love the actual camping out approach. Looking forward to Fraser Is.
