Look i don't mind simplistic artstyle, but they should put in more effort than this. The combat looks lacklustre, mainly due to no animation for the attacks. If this costs money it should be max 1 euro. Actually i would be kind of shocked if this wasn't free...

Appreciate that Ed gives everyone a fair shake because that game is trash

Having played this game now, I have to say the game has a pretty decent core. Like, it's definitely a bit rough, but the horror elements fit together well, and the monster portion of the game is surprisingly fleshed out considering it's more of a mask for the horror game to wear. A bit short, but definitely something to check out during Steam sale season.

The monsters look so generic

Honestly, these monster sprites look like they were taken straight out of a Ruby/Sapphire romhack. I like them quite a bit! I'm gonna have to take a look at this for the hell of it- and here I thought Monster Crown was trying too hard to be edgy with its heavy-handed messages of corruption and the occasional swear word.

Frankly I just wish the battle scenes had better visual balance. The monsters are way too small.

I gave it a try but no animations, sloooow combats and… interesting storytelling rebuked me quite a bit Honestly it’s not even on the level of a romhack, and it’s outrageously pricey too…

Gahhh🔪🔪🔪...nnnghh..😈😈😈 I can't resist...! The 🔪edge🔪 is overpowering, god it's so ⬛DARK⬛ in here! But for real, I've lost interest in the pokemon fan games that show a lotta blood and killing. Even as a 14 year old the nonsense was eyerolling. Just death and sharpness so they can constantly scream in your face "HEY LOOK! THIS ISN'T YER CHILDISH POKEMON ANYMORE!! LOOK BLOOD! SO GROWN UP AND ADULT!" Give me a break. This game has pikachu in it. Come on now.

i was hoping to have atleast some silly pokemon-like game to play, with some original monsters and all, but the forced edgy stuff makes me lose any will to play the game, the tv stuff can be ignored yeah, but there are some random cutscenes which is quite frustrating

the split evolutions being shown and free of choice is a nice feature i wish it was in pokemon for example, its quite unique even tho its simple, without all that blablabla of getting specific items or doing specific methods if you want a split evo
