Thank you! Cheers!
You've confirmed my own findings of Gold Coast & Tweed fishing - that it's a wall-to-wall carpet of sodding rat bream, and no matter what you try fishing for, one of the little vermin will always get there first!
Awesome footage Andy , now that's what you call a Honey Hole 🙂🤙

Cool video. I did a dive in the seaway years ago and saw a school of about 30 big ones. No one fishing off the rocks was getting any.

Great video! good to see a good number of Jacks, I've noticed they always like the safety of structure my self, I did an experiment a bit like this a few years ago with bream, I noticed everyone was only catching smaller ones but when I went for a snorkel there were heaps of larger fish, they got that way for a reason, I noticed they would hang around the outskirts and watch the smaller fish feed first to see if it was safe, obviously the smaller ones would get caught and they would take off, I think this is one of the reasons most only catch the smaller fish, I found it was better when you fed them for a while first to make the larger ones more relaxed, I ended up catching them quite easy after that by just floating a line with a hook without a sinker in front of them while I was in the water, my friend didn't get a single fish on land and I kept catching them, something to consider though is it could also attract sharks 🙂

The fingermark is actually a Moses perch
Great video! I’m surprised they took the line right in front of you. I’d be pretty willing to put money on that ‘fingermark’ being a Moses perch. Eventhough they both have a ‘mark’ the other colouration is pretty different.

You are right. It's a Moses Perch. There is still much for me to learn 😄

@@CoastfishTV 😆 nice mate for sure anytime I'm curious azz to know what beasts lurk there , I'm pretty sure it's not a bully thou fished it regularly for at least 20 years now ,and never caught a bully or herd of any of the other regulars there encountering one I've stopped a few good estury cod around 20-25kg in there and released them back , and the other giant we can't stop heads straight for the drain everytime , .it would be an interesting activity nevertheless.

Gold Coast area. We'd like to keep this spot quiet for the purpose of preserving and observing these fish 🐟
What size do you reckon the larger jacks were?
@CoastfishTV
Жыл бұрын
I'd say low 50's at the biggest. May be a couple of others I missed that were hiding deeper in the pipe.
What if you find a Gold nugget there? Do we get a share in it 🤔
