I’m not 100% sure if this is correct, but this is how I think the weather works: weather spawns randomly across the 4 islands. They can be rain, thunder, wind, or pollen. (There is also snow that only ever happens at powderfall bluffs). There are different tiers of these 4 weathers, and at tier 3 of each of them, a new weather happens; for tier 3 thunderstorms, lightning strikes will start appearing. At tier 3 wind, cyclones (along with dervish slimes) will start appearing. At tier 3 pollen, vines (along with tangled slimes) will start appearing. I’m unsure if the slime rain is linked to the tier 3 rain but I doubt it.

btw ik alot of people dont know this weather. but the wiki says there is also a weather named "slime fall" makes slimes rain from the sky and is prob super rare.

So far ive found 5 pear trees: the two you found, one at the other ruin area and one at both the large puddle lakes on ember. Painted hens can only be found on starlight

I just realized that during lightning storms, you can see some static electric on the ground. If you wait a little bit, lightning will strike right there and leave 1-3 Radiant Ore!

Possible new weather in next update: Drought (When water decides to take a break, things get bad.) Droughts remove all water sources except for lakes, alongside the slime sea being unaffected. If the drought happened to be a tier 3 drought, all food sources would be unable to produce fruit and veggies. Also, another effect of a tier 3 drought would be that mosaic slimes (When you mix a pink slime with a disco ball.) would be able to spawn, alongside water slowly evaporating in the player's vacpac.

Heavy pollen is when you get the Tangle Slime. They spawn near vines that move so you got to be quick. I found mine in the Starlight Strand.

Man's world was going trough a Slimacane and he was happy. Those gotta be some nerves if steel for the MC

Love it when weather is added to a game and its done well, so many times its annoying or underwhelming or outright impedes playing a game. My least favorite weather in games is fog.

If you want to have Gordos at your house, build a Gordo Snare, put the appropriate bait in it, then sleep. A gordo slime will be in the snare when you awaken.
