Awesome video Peter btw the Mach 1 Mustangs of that vintage were also known to have so much power that the rear wheels would lose traction and spin the car backwards or 180 degrees and many people panicked and wound up wrecking the car beyond repair a key factor on that was people altered the rear suspension to give the car a more aggressive stance for larger rear tires and were too stupid to change the gearing in the rear end in the 70s that was common practice on American muscle cars and a cheap easy way to do that was installing Air shocks and over inflating them people liked to show off ladder bars on the cars that were also called traction bars

Just awesome and super, SUPER inspiring! If you start work at 8 (years old I mean, not 8 in the morning .. 😂) and follow your ♥ look what can happen, for all of us! Well not necessarily this exactly, but certainly something very cool and to be very proud of, like Peter's wonderful and eclectic collection! Thanks, infinitely, to Peter, to Peter's production team (👌), and, as always, to everyone at the Petersen for putting the show on .. BRAVO !!! (👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 ... ) And, may all of our dreams come true! Take care everybody .. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 ... 😃

Hi Peter! So looking forward to Part Two of your tour! Thanks so much for your reply to my comment (dreams do come true!), and your replies to so many others' comments too! Btw, I'm a fan of lo-fi productions (i.e. the hand held camera), and often prefer them to slick productions; kind of like going to see a great band live; it's not the same as listening to the album produced in a studio (although very occasionally it is! The audience you hear in Elton John's Benny And The Jets on the Goodbye Yellow Brick Road album is a recording of a Jimi Hendrix Experience audience edited in by producer Gus Dudgeon! So what you think is live in that case, isn't!) A big hello to everyone from around the world, and to the awesome team at the Petersen! See you all very soon! 😃

Hi Peter, thanks for replying again! It's funny, when I said dreams do come true I realised that you could take that two ways; that the fact you have such a beautiful and interesting collection shows that if you follow your ♥ and work hard dreams come true, but also that you replying was a dream come true! And it absolutely was, and was something I wasn't necessarily expecting; I watch lots and lots of these videos, and the way you've responded last time as well as today to so many is a beautiful thing, which certainly doesn't happen all the time; thank you so much! Well, I've just watched this through several times, early on, and later (there looks to have been a little bit of editing in the interim, especially in the segue from the Jaguar to the 190SL (I feel very privileged to have seen the first edit! The early bird catches the worm!)) I could say so much, but certainly one thing I've noticed about your collection and others too I've seen videos on, as well as some I know of from personal experience is that not everything is super expensive, so that some cars are within the reach of many, in terms of how much they cost (especially if they're a project), and how many there are. Recently I read a great book by historian Paul Skilletter on Jaguar, and it occurred to me reading it and looking at the racing history of the cars that whilst the genuine C Types and D Types, especially say the Ecurie Ecosse cars are very valuable as well as being extremely rare, the Mk. 1s and 2s as well as early XKs with actual period racing history can be very affordable. And interestingly relating to this, I'm pretty sure I recall Jay Leno saying in one of his episodes that one of his all time favourites, if not his actual favourite, is the XK120. In closing I'd like to wish you the very best with what ever it is you've got your ♥ set on at the moment, which could be something you don't know about yet that someone's going to offer you because they know how much you'll appreciate it and care for it; something I imagine we can look forward to seeing at Pebble Beach in years to come .. can't wait! Thanks again, so much! 😃 P.S. ❤d the production again, including the out of focus opening previewing the cars with the very cool soundtrack, as well as the the interspersed wide angle sections, and the various clips along the way .. great stuff ..👌

Are you kidding me LEE “There was once a time when the Lexington was a beautiful line when children of the ghetto expressed with art not with crime but as Time past evolution did its blast and now the trains look like rusted thrash and now we wonder if graffiti will ever last” I might of gotten some of it wrong but I use to go out Bombarding the train yards in the early 80’s and LEEwas considered the king of graffiti in NYC. You had DONDI and SEEN and IZ the WIZ and many others but LEE was prolific and transcending in a way that he was venerated as so DOPE especially since he was known for doing whole cars ! I would love to one day is I have the funds purchase it from you and use it to work something out with the curating of art in galleries especially in By old Hood Bushwick Bk! Maybe it will help me !

.. honouring your commitments I'm sure Peter .. I was lined up once to have a book signed by former Prime Minister of Australia, where I live, Sir Malcolm Fraser (a car collector, mainly of Lancias) to my Dad who owns former Prime Minister Harold Holt's Armstrong Siddeley 346 Limousine he had when he was Australian Treasurer, when I realised the wait in the very long line would mean I'd miss an event I'd promised to attend. I asked one of his minders if he was going to be at any other events, and they said he would be the next day. So I pulled out of the line to honour my commitment. The next day I attended the event, alas he'd cancelled; understandable given his schedule. So I never got to meet Malcolm .. but in spirit I did .. and certainly his sentiments during his book launch still influence me to this day .. and I was in the second row to hear them .. not bad !!! Rest In Peace Malcom ... 😀
