Kind of both? It's a gel, which is a solid that's defined as a solid but flexible network of molecules ensnaring/containing a liquid or gas (in case of hydrogel). And Jell-O is mostly water, actually more water than gelatin, but the water is in a liquid state and separate from the gelatin structure, which is the solid component holding it together.

The big family of the states of matter. Classical states of matter: Bose-Einstein condensate, solid (crystallized and non-crystallized), colloid, liquid (liquid crystal), super-critical fluid, gas, plasma. Exotic matter: Superfluid, photonic matter, dropleton, degenerate matter, quark-gluon matter/plasma, singularity of a black hole, and time-crystals. Now Supersolid is added to the big happy family.

@@sinister3921 Einstine Bose Condisate. I accidently reversed the short phrase. Its EBC not Cbe my bad. Im sure you already know what it is. But just incase. Its basically exotic matter, using a vacume and applying a hard electric charge to atoms while cooling them to near absolute zero creates matter that doesnt follow conventional laws of physics. It disinigrates fast though so its held in a strong magnetic field to sustain it when created. My theory is take that in a large quanity, and hold it onto a space ship via magnetic induction through a field that spins like how pulsars do. The exotic matter creates a blanked that lets you travel through space time. Like playing wack a mole with the fabric of space time.

well it does, according to societal and evolutionary traits humans have been giving, specifically societal, as it is much more prevalent in humans than other animals, which is the problem with modern western science, people use it as a cult, it is this and only this, well no societal beliefs and structures have influenced the advancement of man kind biologically more than nature has since man began to communicate so it is simply false from a psychological perspective to say that science and natural selection formed what humans are today, it was more human beliefs, and humans believe that tough, heroic, brave men are stronger, thus will have children, so according to our primal and societal precursors, so arbitrary measures of masculinity is what completely changed the way humans think and reproduce, compared to other animals

It mattered then. it doesn't now. And it definitely shouldn't be a measure of how you judge people like OP is up there.

We can? How bout lets do it? Since i started this comment I will be the high priest. Rasmus you will be a priest for bringing up the idea of such a religion. And our god will be a dude named Jeff because he was one of the lucky ones to get out of our own universe to enter a different universe to only become god in that universe to then be able to leave that universe to come into our universe to become god in this universe but he knows whats outside of the universe. So he is our god. Jeff.

Well done guys, but I remember articles from 30 years ago describing supersolid water obtained at +1000 PSI. So: and what's news? News is that clusters of supersolid water can be obtained with a toroidal cavitation bubble imploding with exponentionally accelerating speed and concentrating the energy into a theoretically subatomar small space. Most of the time some plasma inside the water is obtained.

People should be paying more atention to what a science paper says and not what it resume. Recap: We have 5 states of matter: solid, liquid, gas, plasma, and the recently discovered time crystals. Superfluid and supersolid are not states of matter but quantum microstates. This means the element has some special properties that are effect of some weird quantum stuff. As example we got superconductivity, superliquid and supersolid.

Has anyone ever noticed how the universe seems to have a sort of symmetry when you zoom in or out? Like how atoms look like solar systems, or galaxies like molecules, or galaxy clusters like substances, or universes like entangled particles? And everything moves differently and at different speeds. And then when you try to change that speed, new properties emerge and behaviors that very much resemble larger or smaller scale other-behaviors?

Not bad, except for the confusion between mass and matter. In E=mc2[squared] [no superscript in this text editor] the 'm' stands for mass NOT matter. So that elegantly simple equation 'fell out' of Relativity math, an equation describing the relationship between the two fundamental qualitative opposites of matter (mass + energy); so matter is really the objective process. Add space, time & order to matter, and you have the universe.
