Built in the mid 1800s, this HUGE Mansion was originally a private school.
Due to degrading grades and poor exam results, it closed its doors in 1993.
After this a Christian missionary group aquired the building and gave teachings, activities and Worship to its groups.

Wow, thank you guys for this. If the walls could talk. Lots of mixed emotions watching this, I was there at Pierrepont School from 1976-1979, then 1981-1983. Made friends for life and still stay in touch with many of them. So many memories, we could narrate of all for you with stories. Unbelievable, yet so sad to see it in state it’s in. Cheers lads
I was a pupil there from 1981-1986 when it was a school. I visited myself at the end of last summer when the former owners were about to close it down, so guessing you were there shortly afterwards. I could tell you loads about how it all worked as a school, which had good and very bad sides to it. Still, was a real formative place in my life and visiting brought back so many memories. Even after having visited myself fairly recently, was really nice to enjoy it again with you.

How come there's no bathtub in the bathroom?
@Snowy-666

@@joecole7122 Sorry Joe, no idea. I left there as a school in 1986 and there were baths in the bathrooms back then. It carried on as a school for a few years after I left and then has been occupied by a fairly out-there christian cult for a good few years - who knows what happened in those intervening years!
You could have spent days in that place, it's HUGE! Thank you, Alex, Neddy, & Eddy!
Very beautiful Tudor home. I pray no one vandalizes it.
Just want to point out something I’ve noticed about asbestos in your videos, them little red stickers are actually what’s made from asbestos not a warning sign for rooms etc (they stick them directly on what’s made from asbestos), all the fire doors will be asbestos and boarding, tiles etc, also in most cases asbestos poses no threat whatsoever aslong as you don’t disturb it which in these explorations and environments is fairly hard to do as most materials are non freyable. The only form of asbestos I would personally stay clear of and be very cautious around is loose fill insulation and pipe lagging (the stuff where you can physically see the asbestos fibre), again not usually a threat if untouched but even drafts can disturb that stuff. I’m sure you already know this but just will leave it for any others too.

Totally agree regards Paranormal. Big turn off for me!
I know a friend who went there, seems all the local schools are like that now. My old one nearby closed about 3 yrs ago and they are still deciding what to do with it. Another local girls school is now an old peoples home. Oak panelled private schools all going bankrupt.

The annual running costs of these buildings is astronomical. A sad fact of life.
Wow. What a wonderful trip down memory lane. I was at Pierrepont 88-93, and it closed the Summer after my A-Levels. Would have loved to have seen you explore the rest of the grounds - the old classroom block, the sports hall etc. The room you really liked with the shields and the falling down ceiling was the library, and the pool table was in what used to be the music room. The main hall with all the chairs was where we had assembly. I half expected you to go up onto the roof and find all the graffiti we left up there!🤭
Thank you so very much for taking us up to the top of thr clock tower. It was remarkable to see the bells, and hear it ticking. I hope this estate won't be destroyed and taken down. It is a beautiful place, and so massive. Seems a shame to take it out. Anyways, I loved the tour. Thanks to all of you guys. Ed, Ned, and Alex. Always enjoy your videos.
Wow, what a building. You couldn’t get up for a wee in the night without waking the whole house 🤣🤣🤣🤣

❤❤❤what a beautiful place ❤❤❤the wood, the stained glass, the fireplaces ❤carpets❤ .the decor in general gives a lovely homely but regal feel. i bet it was a cool school to attend. Such a shame about the asbestos.😢
Your videos make my Sunday afternoon. Never fails. A spot of tea, some strumpets, the latest explore with Pompeye, and my evening is complete. 👌 Love & respect from Texas.

You guys definatly find the best buildings! That was such a classic beautiful building. Thank you and look forward to the next video. X
That is quite a house, we certainly knew how to build in this country, that has to be the best pool room I've ever seen, that fireplace, not to mention the view over the lawns. Did anyone notice, not a single picture of the Archbishop of Canterbury..😂 You should have reconnected the bells to the mechanism.
Amazing place, nice explore. Really enjoy watching you guya. Looking forward to the next one. Take care guys and be safe ❤from Georgia

WOW WOW WOW that’s one explore which I didn’t want to end that building should have a preservative order upon it so it is maintained to a high standard for eternity. Thank you Alex for taking your time to show us around this beautiful historic building may it remain in this condition for along long time ideally it would be even better for the building to be brought back into full use. Alex how do you go about beating this beautiful building and home? It’s right up there with one of the best buildings you’ve explored and video or us old has beens oh hahahaha again I thank you very much, till next week.
Wow so beautiful thank you Alex edd and Ned but the last bathroom I would give it a 8 😂. Thank you guys I fell in love with it see you next Sunday 😊
