What an amazing find, almost like steps backwards in time. Many of the old aircraft hangars were just like that machine shop when I joined the Air Force, the equipment was often the same but used for different reasons. I am sure the old timers could walk right in and just begin working as if they hasn’t missed a day of work. Thank you Jeff for taking us along.

Great video Jeff! I'm kind of nerdy when it comes to seeing old mining sites. I've seen a quite few on my many road trips around the west coast. I'll always get out of the car and walk around. But usually all of the heavy equipment is long gone. You only see the mounting bolts. I'd always imagine the huge stuff that sat there chugging away all day while the crew worked. And sometimes you can find machines that they left behind. That's my favorite! You can almost hear the haunting sounds of the mine working. And you got to see an actual mine as it was when it was operational! That is amazing! Most of the mines I come across were operating in the late 1800's to early 1900's. I love checking out those old mine sites. But a modern mine with all of the equipment there? That's super special! Thanks for posting! Can't wait for your next video!

I have worked in copper mines in Southern Arizona for a good part of my life-that is still the prevailing joke- don't think your wife could believe miners all showered in a room like you filmed! I am not one to comment-but you are really awesome- I started watching your channel when my wife got sick with breast cancer, she finally succumbed to that dreadful disease-these video's took my pain away a bit...I am glad to see that you continued even faced with the loss of your Pops-it is my personal opinion that you have helped many people not only be successful in finding "that shinny" but to cope with life.

I love that machine shop. What surprises me, is everything is still there and nobody has taken anything. That seems kind of strange to me. People can find the location of just about anything today.

GREAT video Jeff! That was one of my all-time favorite explores. I just wish all the viewers could see it for themselves. It was hard to take it all in because everywhere we would look there was something interesting. I could still be up there happily wandering around. 😃 Until our next adventure!!

I literally thought the guys hand shoveled the ore down the shoots. But in those tight spaces a pivoting ore bin makes a lot more sense. Plus a lot of the old mines you see don’t have track anymore. But I know the miners used gravity to there advantage.
