With the crazy weather we are experiencing now, not safe with the strong winds in the forests, I mean who wants to get hit with a falling branch, you give us a gold fix for the weekend. You have a fantastic set-up that proves your point. Thanks for sharing.

I have a extended Highbanker set up with a recirculating pump I run here in Northern california. I use a couple 300 watt solar panels to keep up my batteries and ive yet had a battery go weak since using them. I got them on Ebay for a really nice price . Last weekend I actually had a 56.7 gram cleanup with a additional 11.4 gram nugget. Not bad for about 13 hours over 2 days .

I know this is an old post, but that is incredible! If you can do that consistently you have to be making serious returns on your gold. I hope it has stayed that way or even gotten better for you.

That's absolutely awesome Chris. That super fine gold really does add up very quickly. Now 100% proven by you!!!! I've designed my own river sluice and what I did was widen the last part of the sluice, the exit, so the water has to spread and slow down making the gold drop out on the last mat. A little thing but hopefully should work a treat. I can't wait to find a place to try it out. Great educational vid once again and very entertaining - so enjoyable, thank you. Love your Vids! Wish we had that kind of gold in Michigan here in the US. One little piece of advice. When I watch you run your highbanker I can't help but feel like you need to tweak the design of the header box. Having to hand scrub the pay as you shovel it in takes up time you could be shoveling more dirt . :) I would recommend you set it up so that you can tilt the header to a sharper angle to let is self clear. Changing the spray bar 90 degrees and enlarging the holes to get a bigger beam of water. Direct the spray up hill in the header to help "boil" the pay. Basically instead of having the spray directly clear the fines off the larger stones, the pool of turbulent water caused by the uphill spray will wet the material as soon as it hits the water and the turbulence of the uphill beam of water will bounce the stones around as well as somewhat hold them in that turbulent pool a bit to aid in cleaning.I have a couple videos on my youtube that show the header box of my homemade highbanker that will probably show what I am talking about better than my explanation. I am not trying to drive any viewers to my youtube as I only use it to be able to send friends links to some of my adventures.Keep up the great vids as I really enjoy them.

Hey mate, its so good to get these observations because it allows us to share information! Basicly the header box was intentionally set up at a low angle so we had a chance to scrub, as the gold is trapped in clay stuck on the rocks. We are a little behind in spray bar development, we will be adding in a second and top bar soon to achieve that boiling motion you talked of! mesh size is at maximum to allow the mattings cells to oporate correctly, we use smaller mesh sometime depending on the gravel and larger if we use different matting

@@VoGusProspecting Thank you for the response. I just re-watched this video for a 2nd and 3rd time and am wondering if you could advise as to the type and brand of the batteries you are using and how many hrs of run you get per battery? Also if you add a 2nd spray bar as well as a jetbar, will you also be adding two more pumps to the system? Sorry, as I should have asked these questions after I watched the video the 1st time. When did Grizz(?) get demoted from manager to assistant manager and has Human Resources scheduled any trauma counselling for him?

Love your vids! Beginner here, wish I was over there to go on one of your outtings to learn some skills. Would love a video on what you do with the gold you find. I'm assuming that after you get a certain amount, you would try and sell it? Where? How? Etc. Keep up the vids and good luck!

Basically I'm saving it all because of the gold price. Plenty of people buy it in big cities, you just look for someone who will pay within 5% of the spot price.

in my spot its a full bend 180 degree that spans 120 meters or so, on the inside bend/stretch theres gold throughout, but 30 meters in to the land there are ravines dug up with several stacks of broken bedrock, i checked some and found gold, but its all overgrown hard to find wheres the finer stack of paydirt
