We found a city of STONE in Albania 😱🇦🇱 GJIROKASTER. Is it the most EPIC place in the country?
Gjirokaster (Gjirokastra) the city of STONE, is a destination that you must visit in Albania, and is located just 230 km from the country's capital, Tirana. Even in this city the Albanian communist dictator Enver Hoxha was born in 1908. It is a city with a lot of history, from the Middle Ages to modern history, territory disputed by Byzantines, Romans, Ottomans, even by Greeks and Germans.
This city was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2005, as it is a rare example of a well-preserved Ottoman city, built by farmers with large estates, houses built since the 17th century. It is said that this city survived the commercial real estate dynamics, mainly because during the communist government a special plan was created to preserve the dictator's hometown.

since the communism fall in 1991 over a million Albanians especially from the southern part migrated to Greece... many of them worked in Greek restaurants in the catering sector and those who came back opened their own and combined Greek traditional street food as well as coffees... in addition over the centuries the common coexistence of peoples within the framework of empires such as the Roman and the Ottoman it is natural that has left the mark on every aspect of life...
