I love this movie so much! Its "Pointe Break" with cars instead of surfing and skydiving. Also I was in the import car scene when this movie came out and was in a car club in Chicago and 20 of us went together to see this movie opening weekend. The movie theater parking lot was like a car show that entire weekend.

I hope watching some of the older movies will help everyone realize how different movies are today. The practical effects and stunts, relationships built between characters and the intensity it adds to a scene as simple as the last boost scene in this film. It was different.

Grew up with this franchise, and don’t know anything about cars lol but I LOVE this franchise (up until 7 ngl). I was heartbroken when Paul passed. He was one of my favorite actors and Brian was my favorite character. 1 & 2 are my absolute FAVORITE! I’ve always loved Brian’s Mitsubishi Eclipse and his Skyline GTR 😩. So crazy to know that you guys haven’t seen the movies, but excited to see your reactions and rewatch these movies with y’all (I know the lines by heart lol)! Def should check out some of Paul’s movies too!

This movie is what solidified my love for cars, the Toyota Supra and the Dodge Charger specifically. The sound of that Charger still gives me goosebumps lol 26:07 Michelle held up the money a specific way where she's flipping him the finger at the same time lol 35:27 the best part of the movie lol 35:44 the car actually hit the camera there which just makes the shot that much better honestly lol

Welcome to the family guys. Now that you've watched the first you gotta watch the entire series lol. The only member of Dom's crew that we never found out what happened to was Leon(the one you couldn't remember his name). Also it's funny that you guys remember seeing Vin Diesel for the first time in Saving Private Ryan because that was his first movie role. Looking forward to seeing your 2F2F Reaction R.I.P Paul Walker

If you wanna see where Dom ends up after this, you should check out the short called "Los Bandoleros". It's a little-known short film in the universe of FnF that gives some context for the next time we meet Dom. You don't HAVE to watch it to get things in later movies, but it's an interesting fill-in. Also, whenever you guys get around to 2F2F, I would highly recommend watching the Prelude that comes with it. It again gives some additional context, but for how Brian gets to where he is at the beginning of the second film.

“I'm all the kid's got”, before Fast and Furious became like Mission Impossible, the movie showed real emotions, real situations, and the consequences of making bad decisions. Even though this movie revolved around fast cars, it was the most human Fast and Furious to me.

And the guy at the starting line at 26:29 is Craig Lieberman, the technical adviser. He was responsible for picking out a lot of the cars, and the orange Supra was originally built by him. His work in this movie for sure made a lot of teens gain an interest for Japanese tuner cars.

So one thing I like pointing out to people. The opening scene with Paul testing his top end in the parking lot. There is no CGI in that scene. The had a chase vehicle next to it with cameras mounted. What you are seeing is the eclipse going from 0-120/140 MPH and the blur of everything beyond the eclipse is how things really look when you are at that speed. Everything around you becomes a blur. I tend to encourage anyone to ride in a vehicle at those speeds (in a safe environment such as an open track day) so they experience it and understand just how dangerous things are at those speeds and to NOT do it on public roadways.

Before my job moved , there was a coffee shop downstairs, and they always knew my order. When they saw me coming in the morning, I hadn't even reached the shop yet that my bagel was going in the toaster. And when I came in during Lunch, they would walk to the soup kettle and prepare my bowl of soup to go. They knew which ones I didn't like, so when that was the soup , they would flag me down to the salad area instead haha. And to avoid the crowd, he would always make me pay my lunch the next morning with my breakfast. I miss that place

Time for some fun facts: * The Blue Maxima that Vince drives and the Supra that Dom and Brian "build" belonged to Craig Lieberman, who (besides being a technical advisor for the first 2 movies) was the guy at the starting line of Race Wars. He has his own KZread channel where he discusses behind the scenes stuff for the movies. The stories are awesome to listen to. * The director played the pizza delivery driver and the Ferrari driver was played by one of the co-producers. * The yellow Nissan Skyline GT-R that Leon drives was nicknamed "Big Bird" and changed hands a couple of times following the movie. It made its way into the hands of a company called Motorex that imported vehicles from Japan. Motorex never completed the certification to make the car fully legal and in 2012 it was seized and crushed by the feds.

I'm so jealous you guys got to experience this without knowing Brian was a cop. It was all over the trailers and marketing, so it was no surprise when it came out in theaters. But having it be a surprise really makes for a different experience.
