This series gets so wild as it goes on, lmao. Loved this first movie though, especially. Glad to see you both did too! EDIT: "They call me Hector.", that guy had a scene in Training Day. The rapper is Ja Rule.
12:30 i remember the first time i´ve seen it when i was a kid... It was majestic....the elevation of the car without moving from its place ready to fall down and the colours too. Well made.
This movie has a special place in my heart because it was one of the 1st dvds I ever watched/owned.. back when vhs was 1st being phased out!
I'm glad you two enjoyed it. It's one of my favorites because its just a relaxing watch. I'm not really into cars but it's still a vibe i can get behind for a couple of hours before remembering i have 0 mechanical skill
Dom is literally the KING of the road! I also met the cast of Fast 9 so I saw Vin, Tyrese, lil bow wow and Luda in LA when they were at the premiere. It was by complete accident and me and my sister had no idea they were doing a premiere until we saw a bunch of people outside crowded around and everything was blocked off and I can confirm that Vin is 6' on the dot. It was the best experience of my life
Glad y'all are taking these on. You're right - the writing in these movies is pretty underrated. I also avoided these movies, not being a car person myself, but you they do such great action and storytelling through the cars and the culture/people around them, they are worth the ride.

The sound of that Charger still gives me goosebumps lol 26:07 Michelle held up the money a specific way where she's flipping him the finger at the same time lol 35:27 the best part of the movie lol 35:44 the car actually hit the camera there which just makes the shot that much better honestly lol
Looking forward to them doing the rest of the series. Shout out to BT doing the music in this movie!
Welcome to the family guys. Now that you've watched the first you gotta watch the entire series lol. The only member of Dom's crew that we never found out what happened to was Leon(the one you couldn't remember his name). Also it's funny that you guys remember seeing Vin Diesel for the first time in Saving Private Ryan because that was his first movie role. Looking forward to seeing your 2F2F Reaction R.I.P Paul Walker
If you wanna see where Dom ends up after this, you should check out the short called "Los Bandoleros". It's a little-known short film in the universe of FnF that gives some context for the next time we meet Dom. You don't HAVE to watch it to get things in later movies, but it's an interesting fill-in. Also, whenever you guys get around to 2F2F, I would highly recommend watching the Prelude that comes with it. It again gives some additional context, but for how Brian gets to where he is at the beginning of the second film.
Really looking forward to taking the Fast and Furious journey with you guys. The first one is really good and I enjoyed watching it with you guys. This is where Vin Diesel and Paul Walker’s friendship begins. Take care, enjoy life, stay healthy and have a great one🔥👍

As a kid seeing brian jump on that truck made him my favorite character in the entire franchise forever. Watching this with my dad at night was a blessing when I should’ve been sleep. Fell in love with the series after that. Still hurts we lost paul, i was fucced up in middle school when that news came out.
& the Journey Begins!
This was the best movie of the franchise! I was in high school when this came out. It brought to the forefront an import car subculture that made everyone want to customize their first car.
“I'm all the kid's got”, before Fast and Furious became like Mission Impossible, the movie showed real emotions, real situations, and the consequences of making bad decisions. Even though this movie revolved around fast cars, it was the most human Fast and Furious to me.
The scene with the final truck, that was filmed on a road near the city of Hemet, CA. My hometown lol.
can't wait for you guys to see number four and five!
This movie is the reason I fell in love with cars, racing in the first place and always wanted as my dream car to get tht Skyline R.I.P Paul Walker
Happy yall loved the movie. The First 3 movies are car culture classics!
FF1 WILL ALWAYS BE MY FAVORITE ONE OUT OF ALL THEM. ITS NOT THE SAME WITHOUT PAUL. AND YES, I BELIEVE IT CAME OUT LATE 90S AND EARLY 2000S
Fun fact: the pizza delivery driver at 6:34 was the director of the movie
@NorwayVFX
3 ай бұрын
And the guy at the starting line at 26:29 is Craig Lieberman, the technical adviser. He was responsible for picking out a lot of the cars, and the orange Supra was originally built by him. His work in this movie for sure made a lot of teens gain an interest for Japanese tuner cars.
So one thing I like pointing out to people. The opening scene with Paul testing his top end in the parking lot. There is no CGI in that scene. The had a chase vehicle next to it with cameras mounted. What you are seeing is the eclipse going from 0-120/140 MPH and the blur of everything beyond the eclipse is how things really look when you are at that speed. Everything around you becomes a blur. I tend to encourage anyone to ride in a vehicle at those speeds (in a safe environment such as an open track day) so they experience it and understand just how dangerous things are at those speeds and to NOT do it on public roadways.
Love the movies idc even after 5 it gets crazy but still love them it’s all about enjoying movies and shows 😭 FAMILY!
It doesnt matter how long it takes for people to react to this movie as long as you remember Hector is going to be running three Honda civics with spoon engines, and on top of that, he just went into Harry’s and bought three t66 turbos with nos, and a motec exhaust system.
Great journey to start and I'm here for it! If you like Vin Diesel, I suggest the Riddick movies to watch at some point.
The first racing scene is on prairie Ave in Hawthorne California I use to live on that street it was in front of Hawthorne airport I remember hearing all the engines it was filmed in 2001
Before my job moved , there was a coffee shop downstairs, and they always knew my order. When they saw me coming in the morning, I hadn't even reached the shop yet that my bagel was going in the toaster. And when I came in during Lunch, they would walk to the soup kettle and prepare my bowl of soup to go. They knew which ones I didn't like, so when that was the soup , they would flag me down to the salad area instead haha. And to avoid the crowd, he would always make me pay my lunch the next morning with my breakfast. I miss that place
Time for some fun facts: * The Blue Maxima that Vince drives and the Supra that Dom and Brian "build" belonged to Craig Lieberman, who (besides being a technical advisor for the first 2 movies) was the guy at the starting line of Race Wars. He has his own KZread channel where he discusses behind the scenes stuff for the movies. The stories are awesome to listen to. * The director played the pizza delivery driver and the Ferrari driver was played by one of the co-producers. * The yellow Nissan Skyline GT-R that Leon drives was nicknamed "Big Bird" and changed hands a couple of times following the movie. It made its way into the hands of a company called Motorex that imported vehicles from Japan. Motorex never completed the certification to make the car fully legal and in 2012 it was seized and crushed by the feds.
I'm so jealous you guys got to experience this without knowing Brian was a cop. It was all over the trailers and marketing, so it was no surprise when it came out in theaters. But having it be a surprise really makes for a different experience.
