We Finally Started Working on the Zoo!!
Ойын-сауық
Today we finally start working on the LEGO city zoo! With its new placement we had to make some serious changes to the aquarium.... pretty much cut it in half but made it even better! In addition to reworking this building we also MILS plate the rest of the zoo! Now that that's all done we can move on to the next phase of construction! WhooHoo!

The Zoo looks amazing, as does the rest of the city. A small idea/suggestion for the Aquarium. Make a small mosaic on the back wall that faces the street. It would be part intensive, but in my opinion would look awesome and be worth it.

Hi
Finally yay! The zoo's been one of the places in the city that has the most potential to work with. Any set ideas you have for animals besides the large aquarium and are you open to suggestions because personally I think this can be one of the standout parts of your city. The aquarium looks awesome with the fish attached to it along with the polar bear enclosure and the penguin enclosure. As far as the actual zoo, you could have a lion exhibit, pandas, elephants, cheetahs and so on. Great work so far as you and Josee work so well together. I'm excited to see how this turns out Bricksie.
I like these city updates where we also get to see the rebuilding process of buildings and landscapes as opposed to the other way of jump cutting from before to after.
The lions are the kings, they should be in the middle together with some rocks to make them look down at everyone and you should ad som small trees that just goes over the fence, along the fence, so it doesn’t feel like it’s in the middle of a city for the visitors
The city is looking great. The MILS makes the streets look so amazing!
imgane how many bricks you would have if you were to take apart the whole city (edit: bricksie hearted the comet above me and below me lol)

Pretty sure he’d never do that cause his whole city is worth a lot of money but if he did it prob be over 300k maybe
It needs A LOT of greenery to spice it up. The new aquarium looks awesome!
I'm so excited to see the city finshed
I like the blue "windows" making it look like a water filled aquarium, the polar bears instead of hippos, and the new roof looks good, but overall, I preferred the first version. The first version's awesome large roof window, and front of the building made it much easier to see that there's stuff inside the building from the outside. Also, I wish you'd swapped places on the polar bear, and penguin enclosures when you anyway rebuilt it, because now the new white wall in the polar bear enclosure both makes the polar bears less visible, and hides the penguin enclosure.
Glad you decided to decrease the size of the aquarium, it looks really amazing. Great job building that👌🏻
So happy your finally getting started on the zoo after a year. I work at a zoo and I’m really interested to see what you’ll make. Although you could have built a brick built hippo and make it look like it’s in the water with the head poking out. I like the polar bear exhibit, but I think it’s to big for the aquarium. Maybe swap the penguins and polar bears? But still I think it’ll still look nice.
Great rebuild on mills plates for the aquarium ! Looks even better !
To make the dolphin enclosure bigger you should build a tunnel with clear panels that go off to one of the sides to make a big pool for them
Suggestion I have, is whereever you decide to put the animal enclosures, switch out those grey plates to green plates to represent grass areas. All the remaining grey plates will be used as a walking path, vendors spots. etc...
Could you do a video on the history of Bricksie please, to help see how far you have come.
You could make a advert to put on the back of the aquarium. You could also extend sideways towards sesame Street and build a bird avian in the half base plate areas
I think the central area should be dedicated to the zoo's star attraction. You could even have that star change occasionally, so maybe this month it's lions, but next month it's Pandas or Monkeys... And then it could expand into more exotic exhibits. Dinosaurs. Minecraft Creepers. Batman Villains. Jar Jar Binks. Ninjago Dragons and other brick-built mega-fauna. A Bionicle. That would be a cool way to keep the zoo fresh and constantly changing but staying familiar. And of course around the outside you have your other exhibits. Crocs, elephants... flamingos? I dunno, you've got a bunch of things.
Looks good, Maybe extend the dolphin tank to the back of the wall inside the aquarium?
I really like the addition of the colourful fish to the aquarium, it looked very bland before that and this pop of colour really helps make it look more like a place children would go instead of like a medical clinic. I would still recommend a few more signs and colourful decorations like this around the rest of the park, as the over abundance of white on the aquarium is still a bit of an issue on a few walls (presumably to be covered in decorations or exhibits later), for instance the polar bear exhibit is lacking any colour besides a bit of water, at least cover the back wall with an arctic sky or something. Additionally, this issues is also happening with the wall for the zoo, too much of the same colour repeated, with little to no variation. Either add some dark brown and light brown to add texture, or cover it in decorations (I would recommend colourful flags and banners lining the wall and signs with educational facts or pictures of animals dotted around the zoo. You may have to get some custom stickers printed as I'm not sure how many educational fact stickers Lego has printed, but specific information for the enclosures you want to build would help make the design more alive. It's been a few months since I've checked on the progress and catching up has been quick fun, I'm really enjoying the progress you are making with some of the older displays and how you are integrating them so well with the rest of the city. The campground looks fantastic, and Ninjago mountain is looking great (if still a little square). Can't wait to see your progress continue and I hope you find a way to deal with the space issue, wouldn't want you to have to stop making videos because you have TOO MUCH Lego.
I think rather than have an enclosed Aquarium, you could do something like a water show. Where the dolphins and seals can be on display more. Using the MILS plates, you could create a huge water tank for the dolphins to swim and you could build some bleachers for people to set. Then in the surrounding areas, you could build a bigger enclosure for the penguins and the Polar Bears. You could even make a winter area for the kids to play in the snow. With someone selling hot chocolate and other little food carts for popcorn, ice cream, and cotton candy. Bathrooms are a good idea as well. You've gotta have people walking around in safari outfits and balloons 😁
I used to work at the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago and your penguin exhibit is spot on. You can never have too many penguins
You have the best Lego City I have ever seen! You should connect the train yard at the bottom and make a track to go up. Love the videos!
Looking AWESOME!
FINALLY BRICKSIE! All those lovely animals will finally have themselves a home in your Lego City! Ya know, one thing I've decided to create for my city is an Arena area with interchangeable center and removable roof! Perhaps one season it's a Hockey Ring, another season it could be a "Stuntz" Show, and another season it could be a Circus, or on Sundays it could be a Football game! -In2Madness
Why don’t you just flip the white panels? It will look sooo much better from the outside and you’ll probably won’t even notice it on the inside. The outside is what you’ll be looking at daily. Really love the entrance btw. A rocky area in the middle with a little bit of water around it (making use of MILS) would look great with some monkeys or other animals.

The panels facing that way was intentional -- we actually prefer to look of the back that way.
Random idea for the zoo... Have like a human habitat! Like have the fig be like bro thor or something kinda like that! Then have like aliens or marvel figs looking at the human in the habitat! I think it would be a funny little touch!
A nice bird enclosure using cargo nets for an open air "roof" would be very zoo-like.
You could do an aviary on top of the aquarium maybe for all of the birds.
Looks Fab! If you were to have an enclosure in the middle that was a little larger and house 2 or 3 species of animals and then some smaller enclosures around the edge. Maybe some kind of observation platform or bridge going over one of the enclosures could be nice. For the sides around the aquarium if you just needed to fill the space something like a food court and toilets or gift shop or just burger stand kind of thing.
Yeeeessss! Been looking forward to some zoo updates. Fab job you guys did! I'd love to see perhaps a lion leaping over the fence or a rhino charging the gate, with the Hulk trying to coax it back in being on Pop culture street. Both great stories.
Nice looking Zoo. The small size aquarium gives more room to work with. I can't wait to see what it will look like. Great job to you both.
I was wondering if the fence around the zoo could be lighter, not full of bricks. I’m thinking of a structure with connected poles, but with spaces every other stub. This could help to have a less bulky insert in that area, especially in front of the city hall
Really great job. It is really coming along. I wish I had that kind of space to do a Lego City.
VERY great job Josee with the Aquarium and Zoo👊😍😇 Keep up the great content you two💥💥
As the aquarium came out nice! The reduced size works for the new scale of the zoo. Once you figure out the layout of the enclosures you could add snot bricks into the reddish brown walls to give it some greenery / texture. Could do the same to the outside of the walls. Maybe small dots like pictures of animals as “advertisement” for the zoo the city goers walking around
I hope converting the zoo to mils gives you a clearer path to completing builds to fit in the inside
fantastic! i really enjoy the small details in the front of the zoo for the plants and bench.
Really excited to see you building this~
Awesome ! I love how the aquarium turned out. The extra "glass" you've added and the background fish really make it look cool! One small suggestion: you might consider changing the color of that black and white fish on the front right corner. It blends in a bit too much and is kind of hard to make out. Can't wait to see the finished zoo.
Have you thought about putting the aquarium in the left top corner(if you were looking from the angle you where filming ) that way the plain back is facing towards the street and might give you a bit more room to do a bigger in closure in the opposite corner .🙂 coty looks awesome bdw.
Zoo is looking good. Looking forward to more up dates
Suggestion if I may, bring the aquarium to the middle, the back of the aquarium could then be used as part of the primate cage including swings and ropes. The back view from the other side will be much better than a blank wall. Love your work guys, watch you every day.
Can’t wait to see it when it’s all complete
As a man with many aquariums and ponds I love it.
why don't you make the aquarium a separate entity, sitting across the street from the zoo? in this way, you can keep the back road straight (as it was originally) and recover 1 plate's worth of space (the road corner you no longer need).....you could even consider a skybridge connecting the two facilities
Lovin the zoo my friend...You should add a little petting zoo area for kids...
I think having a larger enclosure will look great. This could be like a safari theme that has elephants, Monkeys, giraffes and whatever else you can put in there. With all the birds, you'll also need an aviary so they don't escape. And maybe even a bridge or tunnel that goes above/through an enclosure so the patrons feel like they are in the enclosure
New aquarium turned out excellent, very nice job rendering and the Zoo is shaping up!
Awesome, Josée does such an amazing job working behind the scenes!!! I love the new video time lapse video layout…keep up the great work, the city is looking fantastic.
I think you should add a reptiler house/just an are with snakes and chameleons
You should add a gift shop for the aquarium. Or you could make a gift shop for both the aquarium and the zoo and just make it one build. I think it would be cool.
Josee did an awesome job 👏👏👏👏
Just an idea! Maybe put the aquarium in the middle of a zoo and put the animal enclosures around it that way you can kind of hide the back of the building!
You should make a small builiding with snakes lizards and frogs like a reptile exhibit:)
U could use the 1 in 3 tiger as a display or statue
Finally! Its been a while that the zoo was touched. Great job by the way Briksie.
LOVE THE ZOO! Amazing Aquarium. I must say I'm abit baffled about how you got all the animals. I got some sets just for that... I didn't even know there was a LEGO Dolphin!
hey great job bricksie and josee it looks realy good
a safari área would look cool!
Great transition in the zoo. Good job Josée on the aquarium. Good supervising Jordan! Lol
Looks great! Looked like a massive amount of work too! Suggestion for the zoo now that its all ready to be built is an aviary for any and all birds, could look really cool :)
What could have worked well, was moving the aquarium to the left or the right and making a second building next to it as a bird sanctuary type building. It wouldn't have to be as big as the aquarium and then you would have all the buildings in the back out of the way, but I am sure whatever you have planned will be better.
Start looking so cool!
Just a small suggestion. I think that there should be just like four or five penguins. It's more realistic because with the size of the enclosure and the amount of penguins there wouldn't be much much room for the penguins to swim. It's a little unrealistic but other than that the aquarium looks amazing!
the New Looks Bomb I love the New Auqarium!!! Thanks for the hard work
Love the zoo looks incredible
The idea with the fish snot bricked on the walls is $$$
Another awesome video The big scale fish from the creator fish tank set are a clever addition. Great job Bricksies!!
Hey brickes you should put a alligator or crocodile exhibit next to the entrance with those trees in it..
I just imagine that the top portion is where the dolphins come up for air and there is an entire underwater portion not visible to the visitors so the dolphins have a place to really swim fast and get their exercise in! I like the smaller footprint. Not at all bothered by the paneling in the back since that is par for the course in real life as well. Buildings go up in the cheapest way possible and only the side that is seen by most people gets the eye candy!

Would be cool if he made a clear glass floor with some water tiles underneath to represent that. Make it seem like there's a whole world going on just beneath people's feet
Dont forget a lot of trees a zoo is ussually a park.
Hey Bricksie I think that for the dolphins you should make something for them outside that takes up two enclosure spaces kinda like how you would see at sea world but idk just a suggestion also I love your vids they make me happy and I think your city is great
The aquatic animals should have a roof so they can have the right tempature
It looks fantastic but the green plates off to the side that’s being used for the alley i think you could if you want to open that up and make it a food vendor/ picnic area to save more space for enclosures 😊
I love how you say massive aquarium and the polar bears bearly even have place to move
These city updates are so satisfying to watch. The zoo looks awesome man!
Yay lit looks so good!!!! I think it would be cool if you added some bathrooms and maybe a gift shop or a cupule of small gift venders/carts!! Can’t wait to see how the zoo evolves!
Cool zoo!!!😍😍🤩
Absolutely loving it!
It's coming along 👏🏻🙌🏻
Looking good with the new zoo, Bricksie!
You could do a gift-shop with bathrooms and a snack stand
The zoo looks awesome
Maybe u should centre the aquarium sign with the door and also tile off the steps of it
Hey Jordan, really enjoy this type of video when we get to see your ideas being built, the timelapse with voice over is definitely the way to go for this type of stuff, great work! Love the smaller aquarium and MILS has already improved the whole area, looking forward to the next zoo developments and the placing of the Sanctum Santorum
new editing/ narration style is fire
awesome video jordan the zoo looks amazing you and mrs bricksie did a great job
You should maybe add grass and then add pathways leading to the aquarium and add like a washroom or food stand and then add signs on the path way tells you where to go I was thinking of this from finding Dory haha
Great start to your zoo!
i hope your gona make avery green zoo with a bunch of trees and plants it would be great
Maybe have animal enclosures on multiple levels. Save space/use more vertical height. Sitcom hi-rise, but for animals? ;) :D
You should change the steps of the aquarium to LBG, so it pops more from the DBG exterior floor. The new sized aquarium looks great though! 👍
I think the dolphins would look good outside the aquarium by the fish in that corner area. More room. You can put some turtles or something in the middle
I think it would be cool if in the center was like a small safari mountain broke up with walls so the lions could be perched up looking down and like a little lake down bellow where the elephants could be
W😍w! Ya'll work great together with eachothers skill set and ideas. Love it!
Looks great! I have a few suggestions that I do not expect to happen but could make a differences to the city and your space I suggest adding more parking lots around the city, they could help tell a story and could make a slight impact You could add subway entrances dotted around the city. This could make it feel like there is an under section more than you know right now And finally, you could hang your slightly smaller Star Wars ships on the ceiling. This could add more space to your shelves and they would look good Those were just some of my suggestions, as I said before, I do not expect them to happen but I think they would look good Keep up the great work!

Rather than building a parking lot, what about a parking terminal. That way you can have multiple levels of cars parking and stacked up. Rather than spread apart in a lot. I think the problem with both of our ideas would be space. Where would you put a parking lot or a building
@outofcontextevan4605
2 жыл бұрын
@@huskyswordsman95 that’s a way better idea, but your right, where would you put that? I suppose the obvious option would be in an empty space but the city is starting to fill up
Wow that's amazing!
Great video as always, i have a idea for the zoo. You could put trees all over the zoo and make ropes between them and then put monkeys in the trees.
Always good to check in and see how the layout is going 👌
Looks nice, I'm excited to see it done!
