Lol me too
Several weeks ago my wife and I were traveling from me to visit my sister in Kentucky. We watched your channel as well as the stable life all the time and wanted to stop in. We were camping so we decided to pick up some supplies at your place as a way of saying thank you for the videos you produce and I want to say the steak was fantastic it's nice to know where it came from. The most important thing I wanted to say was that Aunt Becky came up to us and started chatting. Unfortunately we were only able to meet her and a couple other people in the store but she was fantastic telling us about the farm showing us the window in the back that overlooked the area that a lot of the work is done and videos are shot. We just can't say enough how pleasant and kind she was to us taking the time to talk to us as long as she did. Of course this family seems very nice on the videos but you never know when you meet them in person and if aunt Becky is any indication as to how the rest of the family is we definitely need more people like this in the world. We will be passing through most likely again in September and look forward to stopping in and hopefully meeting more of the veggie boys and girls as well as Joel from a stable life. Keep up the great work we love your videos and respect the amount of work that you put into your family farm. I am glad no one was stealing from you.

Where is their farm?
That's so funny. My dog will pull carrots out of the ground in my garden and then run off to the other side of the yard to eat them. She also eats the red tomatoes right off the plant.
Please make sure your mom teaches the younger generation how to can and preserve the food. I grew up with bone canned foods but was never taught how to can. The last 2 years has been all about learning for me and teaching my son how to can and preserve foods. This is skills that were almost lost and are making a comeback.
I figured it was grandpa sleep picking because he’s that dedicated!! I watch bubble beets KZread channel and he has motion sensors with sprinklers. It scares them pretty good 👍

you know what?! i’d come and work on your farm for free! i just find it amazing!! 🤗. OH MY that cabbage is beautiful!! 😋 It’s so fun watching Callie grow! ❤️
I grow up on a farm . The bees in the field don't bother you while picking cucumbers . You don't bother them , and they don't bother you . I am glad you find out that it was deers eating your beets . I hope you guys find a solution to your deer's problem .
You guys ROCK! My dad, a loooong time gardener just loves your channel. He’s 91and this is the first year he’s not had a garden so discovering your channel has been a Godsend. He says to keep up the good work and to put a fence around your beets. Lol. Have a blessed day! See you on the channel!
I have a feeling that if someone came there and told they were hungry that you would feed them. I believe that with the size of your hearts people would not have to steal from you.
The plane was flying over looking to see if you had any hot peppers ready. Glad to see it was a deer in the beets but I know that is a problem for you as well. I love the smell of dill.
Callie is growing up so fast ❤️ Cute baby girl 🥰🥰🥰ohh that deer needs to be "Harvested"😊
Glad your thief is not a neighbor. Grammie love to hear your laughter again. Andrew your family is awesome. Love you guys.
How about using Irish Spring soap like the fruit groves use? They leave soap in the cardboard, drill a hole through soap and box, and suspend it on a stake or post in spots throughout the garden. Worked great to save my chestnut tree from deer in TN. Saw this tip in a KZread by a grove owner. Cheap, too! Love your videos!

Irish spring works for one day. Then it rains and you poison your soil and it stops working.
One year I planted annuals in my front flower bed. Every morning the first week I would go out in the morning and half of them were dug up and laying next to the hole. I thought I was being punked. Then one night I peaked around the corner after dark and me and rocky racoon came face to face and scared us both. He went away and left my flowers alone after that.
Callie's smile is just pure sunshine!!!🥰🥰🥰🥰
The deer pull my pine trees out every fall planting . They also grab the tops and pull them out of the ground and leave them . They eat the tops off of some but mostly several dozen will have to be replanted
I was wondering if it was deer. Down here in the south, they plant sugar beets just for the deer. They can clean out a patch pretty quick. Maybe your beets are really sweet this year. 😄

Apple trees we also plant to get deer to go a certain direction to our food plots because they will only stay around the apple trees for a short time before they hit the sugar beet plot. They will spend hours there

The veg is amazing....cucumbers, cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, PEAS!!!!!! Gorgeous 😍
Well now Andrew, one could envision as part of a well balanced lunch or dinner that your GranMa creates a new addition or two or three... venison stew, venison burgers, roast venison with red beet top salad as starters... Do the deer bother your cabbage or broccoli or cauliflower plants? Or if not, would their leaves dropped in the beet patch steer the deer to the neighbor's place rather than the freezer? So surprising to see such a fresh assortment of veggies so early still in the season. Your little one tho, with her "toothy" smile and giggle, growing soooo fast! She'll be dragging you to the fields before you know it! Stay Hydrated! -Bob...

Sooo nice to hear that somebody loves the smell of Dill as much as I do! My dill doesn't look as good as yours though! LOL I really like your idea of a dill scented air freshener! I also enjoy seeing your little girl and how she's growing! She's a sweetie pie with a great smile! It's wonderful to see families working together. The part about the deer snacking on the red beets was hilarious!
WOW! It must be really picky 😂 ( the deer)
Little Callie is walking! Oh happy days for you 🥰. It's hot down here in Florida, around 87-88 daytime but sometimes warmer and overnight temps have mostly killed my tomatoes. Watermelon is coming along nice and sweet and soon the cantaloupes! Trying to plant in succession but on a small plot it's not easy. Your plants look so healthy and productive! Well done and shhh, don't tell when the peas are done!

We are south of Jax and it was so hot here we lost all 7 of our tomato plants. It was so hot at night the flowers couldn't set fruit. The green peppers however did great.
The deer has watched the harvesting and decided he wanted to help🤣😜
No Question about you Andrew you are a glass half full kind of guy, my wife and I thoroughly enjoy your show Cheers from Aus
I was surprised to learn that you could Plant Sweet corn now and still go to harvest !
This deer is helping you guys out with harvesting it for you. 😊
We use bone sauce to repel deer. We get it from Billy at PermaPastures Farm (KZread channel). Deer nipped our bean seedlings, then we put bone sauce on some stakes around that plot and we've not seen even deer footprints nearby.
Hahhahahaaha i love this veggie family🤣🤣😍looking foward to finding out who is stealing our veggies
Try fiberglass rods stuck in the garden with vcr tape tied to it the wind flops the tape around.
In other news, catch the crew on their new KZread channel! “The Venison Boys.”
As I told you guys! Got mine too. Shot a huge buck IN the garden with a beet in his mouth years ago.

What fun , great to see dad with his little one .
Oh the glorious sound of peppers. ☺️💕
13:47 I love dill! Have never had any luck growing it.
Oh, yes! I've had deer do all sorts of things in my garden. Here in NE Texas, the worst are the coyotes (they can't leave a watermelon alone) or the feral hogs (we won't go into their issues). Good luck with the deer. Maybe you could hire her (or him--the bucks are growing at least prongs by now here). If you could teach her to discern what to pick she looks like a good worker. Love you videos.
You guys have such an amazing family, four generations and counting. Keep it going!
I made some kohltopf today. It is cabbage coked in a vegetable broth and then you take half of it out and place a huge patty of hamburger meat (spiced as you would when making hamburgers) and rest of cabbage on top and cook till all is done. It s a german dish I learnt from my granma a lazy way I guess of making stuffed cabbage lol

I also don't like the labor of making Cabbage Rolls so I have now make it using a recipe for Cabbage Roll Casserole.
A dog will help with the deer issue. Also a motion sensor water spray is what I have used before, but you have to have access to water, electricity, hose, and the water won’t damage the crops.
Can't believe you are a farm without a dog.
🥰😍Callie! Her laugh and her walking... aw.
Oh I can smell the fresh dill as you cut it. It been a long time since I have had some. Making my garden list for next year and dill on top of the list. God bless you all.
Hey Andrew, wow at least you know it was the deer. Harvest looks great!!!!!!!! Pickles!!!!!! Mike
When I see you picking dill and remembering my granny and the pickles what great memories I get to relive them watching your channel keep it real from the desert Southwest in Yuma az
The big green leaves of the cabbage is so good. Cook and then add the light green.
Ohhh...I am so glad it was a deer and not a person!!! I was so upset on your behalf thinking someone was stealing and sabotaging, I even told my husband how annoyed I was and he doesn't watch your channel (no offence he's just not into it lol) Glad you got to the bottom of it, and can take measures to protect your crop. Much love from the UK x
That is some funny stuff boys. Thanks for the laugh God bless
A few weeks back “That 1870’s Homestead,” on KZread had robins pulling their plants and stacking them in piles! 🤣 If the world ain't crazy enough, not the critters are going nuts too! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The deer wants to help with the harvest.
I cut up cubes of Irish spring soap and put it out in my garden. It kept the deer away. I hung it on strings around the perimeter. It melts down in the rain but by then, the deer had moved on.
I love the upbeat positive postings. I happened on you, not sure how but I LOVE IT!
Can't wait ro see yall on full harvest!

@@8thcelisabeth That's true. As bad as I hated it, I thought it was a person doing it. I would have expected deer to eat the leaves. Actually, the deer was pretty neat. It could have made a lot bigger mess.
Well that's another helper right there you got . He's asking for a job right there leave a bucket outside maybe he'll put in the basket🤣🤣
So many beautiful crops. I just got to the point of harvesting some fresno/jalapeno peppers this week in my garden and broccoli/green onion/cherry tomatoes should be ready to start eating this coming week. Best time of year when I can finally go outside and create a meal from my gardens.
I really enjoyed your video. You work so hard to put food on the table for everyone. Have you ever thought of using a sort of small seat on wheels to harvest in order to save your backs? They use them in other countries to go up and down the lanes between where fruit and veg grow.
Blessings to all!
That's a well fed deer to be so picky.
We here in south Texas appreciate the correct Spanish accent on the word Jalapeños 👍🙂

Lol that's so funny a deer omg so funny 🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌞
Air cannons will scare deer away. Keep the great videos coming. I really enjoy your channel.
The city park, and rec. Department uses coyote urine to keep deer out the flowers. You can order it from a trappers supply on line I would think a few squirts in the dirt around the perimeter would work . Blessings from Ohio.
I'm glad it wasn't a theif there's nothing as bad especially after all the work you guys put into it
So glad you have lots of stuff to harvest, even after some of the picking off. My next door neighbour has a cherry tree they never pick but, leave for the birds so that after they’re done with the cherries, they stick around to eat my vegetables down to the ground! 😡 Only tomatoes this year and hopefully some corn. Enjoyed your video…
That deer just wants to be a farmer 😂
You folks have a great life. Thanks for sharing.
Mmmmmm Venison. Looks like you got some nice veggies to go along with that deer
Thanks for sharing... I get so much joy out of watching the way you guys go about planting and picking the veggies. Well done to you all. Granpa, no weeds , you did an amazing job of keeping them away. 👌👍🥰👏

Well she was picky ! She was hungry….👍🏻❤️👋
I need your pickling cucumbers send some threw and for the deer maybe they need to see the freezer if that keeps up. We've filled the freezer from that problem and then never had a problem again. Ps . Love the singing you sound so good what fun
I grow dill every year and love it. In the Southwest my dill is a perineal
So glad no human was taking but the deer are helping out lol.Have a good week and hugs to Calie .
Might be able to use Hair clippings to keep deer out 🤷♀️
I love it when you harvest peppers just love to see the colors

Love to hear the snapping on leaves being snap off. Yummy fresh veggies yahooooooo. Love the smell of dill . Bye Callie nice to see you sweetie again.
I knew it! Today in the morning, I was thinking about your previous video, and I thought "maybe it's a deer pulling up the beets!" I was going to go on your last video to leave a comment.
