Welcome to our final vlog from this Gisborne and Pacific Coast Highway mini-series! We're coming to the end of another stunning New Zealand adventure, but did we save the best for last? You decide! Either way, feeding stingrays, stunning accommodation and incredible coffee is pretty high on our list of perfect days.
To kick the vlog off we're sharing our new Gisborne accommodation at Cedar House. "Cedar House was built in 1908 and has been carefully looked after for over 100 years to maintain its character and style". The stingray is a fascinating creature. Harriet and I got up close to some, at a stingray sanctuary in of all places, Tucson, Arizona at the Sonoran Desert Museum. We fed them and interacted with them. And they do like to suck your fingers. Thank You Dane and Stacey for a wonderful tour of the stingrays of Gisborne. Sending you lots of love💖💖 Jim and Harriet. What an amazing experience! And for them to be hanging around in such shallow water...very cool. I would be tempted to put on a snorkel and get down underneath the water surface, although shallow, just to see them face to face!

I LOVED this video ❤ Cedar House was stunning, but the sting rays were just amazing!!! I was really impressed with your camera skills as I imagine shooting those clips would have been really challenging, but you got some amazing shots, especially from beneath them, showing their eyes, mouths and eating!! 🙌 I've never done anything like that. Don't know about you guys, but I feel like the older I get, the less opportunities I have to experience truly new things (even when travelling a lot!) so it's super cool when an experience like this one comes along. Very much on my bucket list when I made it to NZ!

Great video, we were doing Gisborne on part of our planned road trip when we get to come over, now stingrays have now added to my list of things to do, as that just looks amazing. We had also planned to go to Rere rockslide waterfall, which looks great fun as well.

We were at first 😅 but the guides made us feel safe and these stingrays seemed quite used to humans
