Thank you! ❤ So happy to be back making videos in Taiwan again in this new series (lots more to come...!). This meal took us by surprise and was absolutely delicious. I especially loved how the food was local, ie the fish from the lake and water bamboo grown nearby. They were two of my new favourites! And the black tea ice cream that you can ONLY order is clearly pretty special as well. So happy you enjoyed it all :)

Eileen, you and Mark have such an open-hearted, grateful approach to travel that is lovely. I find myself smiling from the beginning of your vlogs to the end, which is rare for me and KZread content creators. Thanks for bringing us this glimpse of Taiwan, a country I’ve only explored once but loved. And doing so in wellies and Birkenstocks. Canadian much? 😜😘

Michael, Thank you sincerely from my heart for what is one of the loveliest comments we've ever received. Reading it has truly made my day. ❤️ We work really hard and hearing that our videos make you smile and bring some joy makes us happy. I'm not surprised you loved Taiwan after one visit because our first visit (back in 2018) was enough for us to fall in love as well. In fact, "Falling in love with Taiwan" was the name of the first video we made about it. 🙂 And, yes, our "Canadian is showing" with the footwear... 😂

This video makes me so happy!! My partner and I lived in Taiwan for a year and spent Christmas at Sun Moon Lake in 2020. Its such a glorious place and holds many wonderful memories in our hearts. I'm very glad to see you and Mark are traveling again. We're looking forward to more videos!

@@EileenAldis we love your previous Taiwan videos! We watched all of them while we were planning our move to Taiwan. I think one of the major things I miss is the food culture! All the night markets and the tea, you just can’t find anything like it in the states. I also miss the many intricate and beautiful temples. We saw so many while we were there and every time I just felt in such awe.

We've only spent a day in Taipei on our way to other adventures, but we LOVED it and have never been able to find food quite the same anywhere. Your videos make us want to go back and spend a LOT more time there!

@@EileenAldis Yes, it looks a little different very quiet probably post covid 19. I visited the same temple where you had a short part of bamboo forest and a beautiful sunny day the cable trip and Wenwu Temple. Thank you two, I love to watch your videos always

Charming Eileen and Marc makes beautiful Sun Moon Lake Taichung Taiwan so colourful! The light rain did not diminish the fun, you two in it, the fun double triple! (love to see you two under the flowery umbrella 🤩) Love the shot when riding the cable cart, mist & trees, a perfect Chinese painting. And the food, hmmmmm, only one word can describe it, YUM YUM! (ok that's two words 🤭) 😋 Hope to meet you at Taiwan when I go back to visit!

Excellent coverage, you two! Fun driving the boat! I have too on a tour boat in Chicago. Nice view from the bottom. Like your a drone yourself! Interesting food. I couldn't do the fish with head on. It's true, I was served at a restaurant some expensive fish, and No Way! Such a nice experience all considered, to make your day complete! 🥰 Thanks for sharing!!

Lovely vlog! I really would like to go to Taiwan 🇹🇼 and Korea I was wondering did you fly direct and was it expensive?If so who did you fly with and how long was the flight! The food looks really good! My husband up until recently refused to buy me plants, “you are good with pets but you kill all the plants! “ that was until I got orchids 😅 I now have lots in bathroom and kitchen 🎉😂 It’s just so nice to see you travelling again I missed you loads Bisous Sabrina🇫🇷🇬🇧

LOL about the orchids by the way 😂 I totally know what you mean...they seem quite low maintenance which is nice! I'm sure you'd love Taiwan and Korea - both such incredible places (and easy to visit on the same trip too). We flew with Air Canada from Canada and then with their Star Alliance partners all around Asia. It was a great experience all along the way and the flights were part of the press trip :) We did Air Canada's direct flight from Vancouver to Incheon (after connecting flights to Vancouver). Hope you're having a good week!

You guys are the perfect sunshine on a rainy day! Wherever you are! That mist sort of added a mystical element to your tram ride didn't it? And yes the tree tops did resemble broccoli lol. Great job at the helm of that boat Captain Eileen! 😄Those gastronomic tidbits looked so good. As I may have mentioned I'm basically a wimp with trying exotic foods (you two would help me overcome that hesitation :)) I guess there's no elegant way of chowing down on the fried banana. lol Black tea ice cream? I'd give that a whirl! Awesome stuff ! Sorry for the lack of well, dryness ! So have you heard any hooting owls lately? 😁

Hey Scott! aww thank you for the "sunny" compliment! 😉 The mist did indeed veil everything in a kind of storybook quality which we enjoyed. Driving the boat was such a bonus! Didn't expect the Captain to give me the opportunity! You'd have to try the black tea ice cream! It was delicious :)
