The first vehicle I bought was a 1992 Integra GSR. I had the exterior resprayed the OEM Aztec Green Pearl. Someone backed their truck into the rear quarter panel while I was at the bank one day. The damage was repaired, but there was an area between the body and the hatch which would leak. One day it ended up raining extremely hard and water leaked onto the ECU and ruined it. I just couldn't stand the idea of the car being damaged. I ended up finding a second GSR in the same color for sale and bought it because it was as clean as the Integra in this video. The car was 99% stock. The previous owner swapped out the OEM wheels for 99-00 Civic Si wheels. It had working cruise control and cold A/C. I ended up selling it and the person that bought it rear ended a SUV. They are still my favorite cars I have ever owned.

I had 2 . One black one and one red one . Wish I still had either one . So sad they are almost impossible to find in a super clean condition.
So glad you started this channel , proper car reviews with proper car knowledge from a presenter that has actually done a lot in the vehicle industry over the years . I can see this channel going far
This is my favorite generation of Integra.
The Integra has been a part of my childhood history and my life, thank you HONDA for this wonderful creation 🙏
Amazing reviewer, wow. This man has a bright future in auto reviewing. Real car guy with genuine car knowledge and enthusiasm to share with car enthusiasts. A+
This Integra is so beautiful. And the engine, when vtec engages😍😍😍
The second car I ever owned. I was 17. It was a 91 DA GSR (USDM) with the b17a in it. It was super super clean. So well balanced. I had the 2000 civic SI wheels on it. Skunk 2 intake manifold and header/exhaust. Had the Apexi AFR tuner/VTEC controller on it. TEIN springs with brand new GSR shocks. It was perfect. I traded it for a BMW and regret it to this day. I hope one day I can find one that clean and restore it. The most underrated 90s Honda ever. I hope it stays underrated so they don't get ragged out and price gouged before I can get another one. Oh and it was white... beautiful car. My first love. It was as clean as the car in this video. Getting bummed out right now because I got rid of it. DA over DC all day every day.

80's, 90's honda amazing!
Man! Does this bring back memories. A buddy of mine owned of these back in the mid 90's. It the car i learned to drive manual and the vtec crossover was bliss. The first to second shifts were violent! They were very rare in the US and Canada and featured a 1.7 litre unit! These were Honda's golden years!

I love the DA. this body design saved my life in a really bad crash with a semi truck ... car flipped upside down, landing on the roof, and I was able to crawl out afterwards
In America our DA’s only have the top glove box also, I had no clue the Japanese models had a secondary until I got my RHD clip, super cool

And not to mention automatic climate control! I’ve never seen a JDM Integra in real life yet, but man they’re cool.
Very very nice. I enjoyed this episode. I swear I saw this on the Goo-Net a little while ago on the white Rays. Here's my DA story: I bought my best friend's DA-9 and owned it for about a year, which I drove spiritually, and loved eternally. On valentines of early 2019 I crashed it into a raised bank with my girlfriend by my side on a very misleading corner I've never driven through, which messed the engine and chassis frame and caused overheating. We were fine, but someone helped pull us out. we were a close 10min from Pakiri Beach, on the coast of the North Island New Zealand. My subframe was twisted, radiator damaged. I managed to have my last drive with it, stopping it it every few minutes to let the overheating settle. When we got to the beach we called a towtruck and went for an epic swim on that hot day. My close buddy who I bought my DA9 from bought a black stripped out DA-6 with tuned b16a. I drove it. It was an impressive car to drive. That DA-6 felt almost deadly. I believe we almost died a few times in it. Was it worth it. Probably. My favourite integra models would definitely be the DA6/DA8/DA9 . After that it is the DB 4door Integra .
I miss that late 80s / early 90s Honda vibe, I used to have a Concerto with D16Z2, most reliable car I ever had , 340k kilometers done and can truly say interior looks almost as good as here, what a quality product. Or maybe because it was previously owned by old folk and well maintained... Also drove 3rg gen Preludes and 4th gen Civics a lot, its just something special about them, handling, shifting, throttle response its just lovely.
This was a super cool video to watch, I have a 92 DA that I’ve converted to right hand drive and put a K series engine in it, absolutely love these cars. I’ve had 5 since I was 17! My current one for 5 year now

The engines in the 1989 Honda Integra XSi were way ahead of their time.

My little Brother swapped a XSi B16A engine into his '90 Si back in 2000, long before the first Fast and Furious movie hit the theaters. In 2004 I had a '92 Integra GSR and I had King Motorsports(the Mugen dealer) swap in a brand new 0mi B18C5 for the factory B17A1. We used a Mugen Gymkhana-spec 4-2-1 exhaust manifold to avoid having to cut the front crossmember. Second gen Civics/CRX's and second gen Integra's are my favorite cars ever built at any price

Tomatoknuckles Except that water filled drivers side taillight (around the 50 second mark).
Makes me nostalgic for my 1992 model. Late 80s to early 90’s was the beginning of the Honda performance street car golden era. Maybe Acura can remake the Integra into a performance Hybrid. A mini NSX internally but with a modernized Integra shell. A performance carpool racer ;) for Gen X group who own Teslas now.
Loved my 92 GS black hatch, such a fantastic car all around.

Back in 92 not many cars had auto climate
My dad had one of these Integras....aww the nostalgia
My brother & I had two of these. A red '89 & a black '90. I'd had my heart set on an EF9 SIR when my bro got his DA6. Eventually I grew to prefer the Integra & bought his first one while he got the color he really wanted (the black one). Great little cars... really hauled (and howled!) once the VTEC cut in. We had B&M short shifters, mild headwork, cams, headers, exhaust, coilovers, Energy Suspension bushings on Enkei 92s & Racing Sparco Viper Fangs (some of the lightest wheels you could get in the '90s) and Toyo tires (RA1s I think). They were perfect little cars for our twisty mountain roads... much quicker than you'd initially expect.
Also good video. The commentator is very smart and Luke seems like a cool friendly car guy. Thanks 🙏

The center armrest has cup holders. I remember I was one of the few people that had oem window visor on their DA on Oahu.
I bought a 90 XSI and had it shipped to Texas. Envious of his trunk as the owner before me CUT the plastic molding where the trunk lid sits. This is a truly beautiful car though. The XSI is my 5th DA. I currently have 2 others in my stable, 1 is a parts car that I'm currently stripping.
In this car u can feel everything like voice, gas response and real feeling of car.
Great video and great channel. Keep the vids coming, the longer and more detailed the better.
Man one of my dream cars. I’ve owned a 1992 GS 2 door, and a 1993 RS 2 door. 92-93 GSR Teggies are just about impossible to find anymore here in the States, and when you do find one, they’re either clapped out on their last legs, or they’re nice shape and freaking expensive.

I used to own a black 91 DA6 RSI. No power steering, no aircon, no power windows. It had full OEM body kit. It had 16 inch Enkei RP01s - the perfect wheels for it. It was so rare. I regretfully sold it in around 2006 :(

I'm loving your channel, Capt! The Evo 1 review reeled me in and the content solidified my decision to sub! Very well done and always very in-depth, which I appreciate as a car/JDM car fan. I think Mag Blue versions of those wheels would look stunning with the black paint.
91 DA was my first car and the main reason why I'm a Honda guy today.
Back in the early 2010s I bought my very first car paid $900 dollars for it turns out it was a LS 1992 Integra just like this one in black. I did a full RHD conversion with RHD doors full black interior and all that fun JDM stuff. Did a 36mm 5 lug swap on it with NSX brakes and a H23A blue top motor paired with a 99spec Type R transmission. Hands down the best car I ever owned I miss it soo much I had to sell it due to joining the military 😭. BTW this wasn’t the very first VTEC vehicle the nsx takes that title. This was however the very first AFFORDABLE vtec vehicle that was produced. Not many people know that there is a very rare model called the GSR DB2 Integra that was made for the US market that came with a 1.7 VTEC motor.. it’s the unicorn of integras made only in years 1992-1993 😁. Amazing video brought back memories 👍
Those cars are really exceptional, i have one and i love it!
Used to have a DA frame integra.... it was the car that bought me into the scene... i miss that car
My mum had nearly the exact same car, a DA xsi in black back in the middle of the 90's, this car along with her previous car which was a two tone black and red K10 march turbo were the reason i love japanese cars to this day, we were very lucky to get these cars in ireland back in the day as we also drive on the left
great video. i had a 89 crx si, brother had a crx sir, and dad had a crx sir with a b18c in it. had to sell them because we moved countries. miss those cars.
These older cars really let you feel the road and engine power. I have a hatch with lsv
This is an outstanding channel!

What a unit.... very fine example. Wow just wow
Ill tell you those TEs make such a difference on anything they’re mounting on. What a beautiful vehicle. I’m missing my 89 CRX a lot after this 😢
Man this is incredible. This guy is so cool and reminds me almost of James May and Jeremy Clarkson with how he reviews cars. Very impressed.
This car would win car shows as shown I believe.
I have always wanted this model - beautiful example
I own a DB2 pretty much the American version of this car. It was my dream car since I was 15(2004) and I love it. Original B17 and all.
Hopefully you can make a video like this for the 180sx in the future, great video 👍
looks so sick with the TE’s
Amazing! Very beautiful car! I would love a 98 dc2 integra one day myself
we also cant forget the b17 engine that gave us in america the experience of Vtec in the 92 integra GSR
My first car was a 90 integra gs when I was in high school. Was a Canadian model(I live in America) and I absolutely loved it. It’s a shame most of them now are trashed by kids or just by neglect
I used to own an Aztec Green Pearl DB2 Integra that was just as clean as this. I ended up changing the three piece headlights for the one piece headlights. I loved how the side moldings on the front fenders read VTEC instead of DOHC and came paint matched. The B17A1 had a unique sound. I sure miss that car.
My dad used to have one of these, beautiful cars!
Older cousin of mine has one. Loved it when I was riding shotgun as a kid.
SO SO SO GLAD someone is doing another review of a DA (DA6/DA9/DB2) cause this car is DEFINITELY under appreciated. Also think its funny that even in Japan where they get all the "good stuff" that the DA6 suffers from the worn tail light gaskets like the USDM DA9s/DB2s haha
