We Discovered a Planetary Nebula!
Ғылым және технология
In this video, I document the process of the discovery of a brand new nebula, FalFer1: The Pistachio Nebula. This is a previously undiscovered nebula in the constellation Circinus that I discovered with my friend Chester Hall-Fernandez by using nothing but camera lenses, and consumer-grade telescope gear. World-class dark skies definitely did help the process though! This discovery is only the first in a series of discoveries Chester and I have made, the next one we will cover is the insane lightning bolt nebula.
I hope you enjoy this video!

Many thanks!
congratulations Bray, I from a long time 've been admiring your images which are kinda like motivation fuel to me and get me doing astronomy and astrophotography. Thanks for all what you've done!!!!!! (:
Congrats guys. Curious as to how you get your discovery officially recognized and catalogued.

same, the process is interesting but how exactly do you make it really 'yours'

For PN, Pascal Le Du at PNnet reviews the discoveries. They are then imported to the HASH database. For SNR and reflection nebula, it is more wild west style where you just do your homework and post the image
Well done, both the discovery itself as well as how you presented it 🤩!
Love your videos
Congrats y'all! I'm definitely considering looking into some sort of cataloging experience soon, because I know in grad school I'm gonna be super busy and probably rarely get time for AP, so I feel like being the guy you go to for cataloging new objects would be a cool way to stay in the game without having to spend too much or go too far.
No words 🎉🎉🎉🎉👌👌👌👌
Wow congratulation bro😊 from india ❤❤
Juniper sent me love you pics they are incredible!!

The subject matter is too niche to be considered for a public yt video IMO. Will likely be in some kind of tutorial I produce for my website at some point
It looks like a companion cube.. oh no...
i was in a stream and bray falls said he would show a new nebula
Looks like a raisin.
