Today we are exploring our first island in Thailand and we are on the island of KOH TAO!
Koh tao island is well known for scuba diving and snorkeling, as well as hiking, rock climbing, and bouldering. In this vlog we explored the island in our own IMMY AND TANI style and started our day by exploring the resort we stayed in. When visiting any of the Thailand Islands- we highly recommend you guys stay at a resort to get a real feel of the place. You can stay at city hotels anywhere in the world but when visiting KOH TAO, we highly recommend you stay at any of the highly rated resorts on the island.
After walking around our hotel, we made our way to FREEDOM BEACH. This beach was only 2-3 minute walk from our room as we had special access to this beach. We also explored a PRIVATE hotel beach which was only for hotel guests!
After having breakfast at the hotel, we head out on a bike for the first time to explore the city center. We even tried some delicious coconut water and did a little shopping. Of course we had to visit the famous SAIREE beach so that's what we did! We visited Sairee beach to watch our first island sunset and then made our way back to the city center. Next to the seven eleven store in the city center, we came across two of the kindest BURMESE GUYS! Do meet them if you get a chance to!

There are more than 2.5 million documented migrant workers from Burma, Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia in Thailand and possibly another 1 million illegal workers on top. When you see people working in hotels, shops, and restaurants they might not be Thai as you think. Some low-skill jobs Thai people don't want to do. You can advertise but people don't apply therefore they have to use migrant workers. At my local restaurant in Bangkok, all waiters and chefs are Burmese but the manager is Thai. I didn't know until they started talking in Thai. These days their Thai language skill is so good sometimes I cannot tell who is who......

Nature has its own solution for its problems..using available .. sustainable resources was always a Norm ..its time when everyone go back to sustainable living.... Reviving the old traditional architecture is excellent 👌🏻 kudos to the resort who have adapted to this way..

I hope these Burmese guys have the right paperwork as the Royal Thai Immigration is cracking down on illegal workers/ migrants without the correct paper. Street vending is one of the prohibited occupations, only reserved for Thai nationals.

@@ImmyandTani What city do you live in Pakistan? I visited your country some years ago. I went to Lahore, Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Murree and Taxila. I love the ancient sites of Buddhist monasteries and Taxila museums. The local people are very friendly. I have visited nearly 60 countries. Pakistan is the most friendly country. Best wishes to the people of Pakistan. ❤️ By the way, There is a Pakistani village in my Phang nga province, south of Thailand. I think their ancestors migrated from Pakistan during the Indian partition. But today, they have become local Thai muslims.
