We finally did - SJ pulled the New Balance trigger and picked up these classic 574 in a Rosewater and black colorway.

SJ's first New Balance are a classic 574 in really nice muted tones, pale pink, white and black really make these an understated pair. There is no hype with this particular pair of New Balance, these are not part of the 'Made In' collection, just bog-standard GR New Balance.
New Balance first released this timeless classic 574 style back in 1988 which gives these that retro look. These come in so many nice colorways but this particular pair, that just so happened to be on sale caught my eye.
Have I found a new sneaker habit? Not sure yet but these are very comfortable!

Hopefully you given New Balance another chance with some made in UK/ US. Not really fair to judge a brand based on their most basic entry level shoe. 990v5 would have made more sense as your first introduction to NB. There were some classic colorways that just released in 574s if you don’t feel like spending too much. ✌🏽

This is the only real style I like & as it's such a different look for me I didn't want to spend a lot and I knew sizing would be a challenge. These did go back and I got the same pair a full size up. Thanks for watching.
Nice pickup. I hope they fit. I have a hard time with some shoes where they don't fit me the way I'd like and I have to say goodbye. You live and you learn. Needless to say, there are a bunch of shoes that I have to admire from afar. Lol.

Thanks for watching. I did have to return and go a full size up, replacement pair arrived last week. Thing is it's near on impossible to exchange if a pair doesn't fit now which is so annoying.

Thanks for watching, no I had to exchange for a full size up! Replacement pair arrived last week. These were just a little too tight.
