Something that I truly love about OFMD is that so many of the queer characters are represented by queer actors! It's incredibly refreshing to see them represent themselves on screen and know that they truly act from a place of true understanding.

Adding on: the utter detail and love that is put into each character on this show, regardless of how many lines they have, is truly beautiful. Hearing about Wee John, Roach, and Jim from the perspective of the actors regarding their many little nuances is so fun and really makes you think about how much potential season two has!

Gotta give it to Taika for the little foot touch, that continues to being the most romantic gesture sI've seen and it stills gets me

I absolutely love how Nathan said everyone was attentive to look cool in front of Taika on the set, just like Lucius revealed that everyone in the crew was trying to look cool in front of Blackbeard 😂

That leg touch literally made that scene for me. It was the difference between "cliffhanger" and "bawling my eyes out".

Shid .... Knowing the foot scene was improv changes everything. Man that scene ... Them just staring at each other, not moving, the pan out to show all the people bustling around them while they just lay there .... The bass line before it builds up as he scoots his foot over ... Man imo that is THE scene. Like the scene to end all scenes™ it's just .... *Starts crying*

Taika has mentioned in another interview that he doesn't usually like giving actors too much improv room. So that says a lot to his trust in this cast because he started that trend right from the pilot he directed

the way the foot touch was improvised and rhys STILL reciprocated the foot touch too. like, no one talks enough abt how stede also moves his foot to touch ed's in response bc everyone always cuts in these compilations before that happens

I only knew about the Ed and Stede scenes, that were improvised, but I absolutely love that there was so much that made it into the show!!! My favourite has to be We could have made magic!, though, it had me laughing my ass off before I knew what the show was going to hit me with (blackbonnet)! 💜🏳️‍🌈🏴‍☠️

Vico is unhinged and I love that for them.

Talented, brilliant, incredible, amazing, show-stopping, spectacular.

I will NEVER👏👏👏 get over how the leg touch was improvised. Dude is a director and they likely did that scene a few times (I think with the song slowed down to half speed if I remember correctly?) and he improvised the button that the scene needed by touching Stede’s foot with his foot and he KNEW EXACTLY the moment he should do it. It’s incredible the camera caught it and even more incredible (IMO) that he didn’t tell ANYONE that he’d done that! Only in post did the editor & Jenkins see that Taika had done that. Just brilliant.

I need to see the scene where Pete accidentally kills Lucius temporarily and he comes back to life I just

Great compilation! I love how much of the show is improvised, not only is it hilarious but it also speaks to the talent of the whole team. Not one person is a miscast.

I have been following OFMD stuff so closely that I know 95% percent of this. I had missed the BTS of Vico during the fuckery episode, tho, that was hilarious! Thanks for compiling all the improv into this, how awesome.

This show only works because everyone in the cast is naturally funny and charismatic. Idk how the showrunners did it but they found the perfect people for this show.

LOL! I love Vicos translation of what Jim is saying to Lucious before Stede barges in. Mierda means sh*t not sing song voice LOL. What they actually said was "I've had it up to here with your sh*t"

this is so cool, i had no idea how much was improvised. the cast is so talented that it works though, can't wait to see what they come up with in season 2 (i'm so happy season 2 is actually happening)
