Alex is the type of person to, when asked how the evidence is contradictory, go “Your Honor, my source is trust me bro.” Also the best thing is that lawyers literally gaslight the hell out of everyone in actual court lmao Edit: as awful as the case he was given was, Arthur (TV) literally had the strongest legal case out of them all & probably would’ve held up fairly well in court. I can see why he has a law degree.

A lawyer is just anyone operating on behalf of someone in legal action which a degree in law isn't required to do, indeed in the vast majority of court cases in the UK nobody has a lawyer because the majority are County Court claims where the value would be much less than the cost of a lawyer. You are your own lawyer until you appoint another one for yourself if required, so he could technically be described as a lawyer even if he's never taken payment to defend anyone in Court. If you don't believe this then try taking him to Court for false representation as a lawyer and find out how quickly you lose.

@Craig Robinson need your SQE or an LPC to be a solicitor (depending when you qualified) but even if you did a non legal degree then you can do what they call a GDL for that degree to become a legal one so no matter what you have a legal degree before you enter your LPC, SQE or the Bar
