We Cruised to Belgium | Touring Bruges and Ghent in One Day

The first port on our Northern Europe cruise was Belgium. After docking in Zeebrugge, we took a tour to the cities of Bruges and Ghent. We did not know what to expect but we were blown away by their Medieval Beauty and History.

My memory of Bruges is mean swans on the canal ride, outdoor cafe eating mussels, and watching locals play bocci ball

Wow the architecture is amazing! Looks like it was great weather for this tour! Sharon was in heaven with the chocolate factory and Matthew with the waffles! I. Like the waffle Jamie chose! It’s does remind me on Venice a bit. That was a beautiful tour!

@SharonatSeaTravel we were in Bruges the same day that you were there. We were onboard Norwegian Dawn & took photos of you pulling into port. It wasn't until I saw some of Larry's posts that I later realized we were there at the same time. We ate in The House of Waffles in Bruges.

So enjoying your videos. We are doing this same cruise on the Prima in September! I pray we have some weather half as nice as what you are experiencing.

If Matthew transfered to a university in Ghent, he could make weekly shipments of Belgium chocholate to Sharon

Ghent looks very interesting. I’ve never thought of going there but I might consider in the future. I stayed a couple of nights in Brugge 51 ( !! ) years ago.

It's pronounced 'Zee-brugga' i.e. New Brugge. For some reason in English we pronounce Zeebrugge correctly but pronounce Brugge incorrectly as 'Brewje' when the locals call it 'Brugga'.

If they had milk chocolate, I would have spent at least a $100.00. As long as it's not coffee, coconut or any nuts other than cashews. Chocolate is ALWAYS "my" souvenirs. LOL
