Taehyung was raised by his grandparents since he was 3, for 14 years. And they passed away within 3 years of each other. He's always said how they were like parents to him. He was such an energetic kid. He grew really quiet after his grandparents passed away. He doesn't cry often actually. That's why the guys are so responsive when he cries. He usually bottles up everything and acts goofy or stays quiet. He mostly cried on stage remembering his grandparents.

4:54. y‘all don’t know how meaningful this was for bts and us. I watched it live. It was like 4 am but I knew I had to watch. I knew the boys are going to win this. And when I watched that moment I cried so much. A daesang is a huge achievement and I remember ppl were bashing bts for not owning one. Btw they got most daesangs today. They looked so surprised in the beginning because they actually were. Even though we know how hard they work we will never really know until we experienced it ourselves. But this night was legendary. Army and bts went crazy. Never have I ever seen army not being optimistic about bts success. Even when they started out from a no name company and had no daesang while other groups had multiple ones we knew there is no doubt bts and army are going to lose. Fun fact: fandoms of groups with many daesangs felt threatened by army when bts didn’t even had one single daesang yet. Fanwars and haters were so present since the beginning. Winning this felt so good. I remember a fan from another fandom calling telling organizers there must be a mistake with bts winning but the guy on the phone said that there is no fraud going on but it’s simply that bts had the largest numbers. They never stopped trying stealing the award.

RM cries too but he hides it coz he knows tht being a leader he has to control himself and stay strong. He comforts the members and hides his own pain 18:47. Thts why he is a Great Leader 😭💜

The speech at the 2018 MAMA will always kill me, bro. They didn't have to share such a vulnerable moment with us, they could've just kept it to themselves, but they didn't. The enormous trust that they have for Army allowed them to be completely transparent and share their darkest thoughts. They dropped little hints here and there, on v-live or RUN BTS, that the members felt tired and just not at their best. I am so thankful that they managed to overcome that rough patch and stayed together as 7.
