This world needs more people like the wonderful people who saved this dog. Where is this wonderful dog now? I rescued a poodle type dog and he became our family member in Woodland Hills Calif. for 26 years. When we found him our Vet thought he was about a year old. We miss him but he too went over the Rainbow Bridge. He accepted and was loving to everything in our family (two children now in their forties and a myriad of rescued cats and another dog. Thank you for saving (and staying with the project until you finally rescued her).

I have taken in rescue animals all my life. They used to follow me home from school when I was little. Here in Memphis they are prevalent but am elderly and disabled now. My rescue days are essentially over. Boo Hoo. Pray for every animal I see running loose. Me, you & St. Francis. Bless you all. You are making yourself a spot in Heaven.

You guys make the world a better place. I want to be like you when I'm older unfortunately. I would probably just start crying because of how cruel people are to animals and they would kick me off the team 😂😂😂

Just remember, the rescue teams aren't the only ones needing people. There's the evaluation/recuperation aftercare people, and then fostering and socialization...so many people needed for what can be a long process and every one of those jobs is as important as the other! Talk to your local rescue/animal shelter about it. You have a good heart, you want to help, they can help you find the best place for you to be able to help. Don't give up, they need people like you!

He/she has probably been hurt by humans before and that's why it's hard for her to trust .Animals WILL learn to trust again, but we have to earn it........it isn't given freely !

12 & a half years ago a cat that had been born a stray decided that we could live together after a 10-day testing and trial., on his part. I helped from day one that he would accept me! I wondered what to name him and I asked him 'Do you have a name'? And I listened quietly. After 25, 30 seconds the name Henry popped into my head. Henry will be 14 come springtime. I learned that he had been locked in bathrooms with female strays by a woman who hoped they would breed, because she liked kitties. To this day, he refuses to be in a room without an exit! He will pace and pace and demand to be let out. Of course, he has a cat door and may come and go at will. I pray that I will have him another six or seven years. Thank you WA2S! Thank you for the work that you do rescuing animals.

Poor baby thank you for saving this little dog you are wonderful people.

I got a Yorkie when she was 2 and she looked like this. She had never been groomed. That's why I really wanted to see this dog groomed. Hopefully whoever has her is treating her well and she lives out the rest of her life in a good home with plenty of love.

I love the people who help these dogs they warm my heart i am going to be one of u guys when i grow up

Must be so hard and stressful to catch a dog tat is on the run as much as this one was! Takes patience and persistence and a lot of love!! What great ppl, thanks to you for all you do!

THANK you. I was hoping to generate this kind of response. It most definitely is a world issue and the majority of this is a people mindset that goes beyond borders. My hope is that with growing awareness this will open minds and hearts to the work yet needed to be done. God bless all the organizations and people around the world that are challenged to take on this daunting calling.

years ago i found my dog in Detroit. He was a walking ball of fur.

You guys are amazing! Anyone that helps animals definitely deserves a special place in heaven & if everyone would be as kind hearted the world would be a much better place 4 everyone & everything.

It broke my heart to see that little thing running away but it gave me back my confidence in man when you didn’t give up on her. Even through ll that matted fur she had such warm loving eyes. She reminded me of my own special little girl. I don’t understand how there can be so many dogs running wild and in despair. How can man be so cruel as too let God’s tiny beautiful creation run wild with no food and no shelter. I just want to cry when I think about all the injustices in the world. But then come people like this who restore my faith in mankind and give Gods creation another chance at life

look at all those boarded up homes, perhaps he was left behind by one of those homeowners, feeling all lonely, lost, scared and confused. Thanks Detroit Dog Saviors for saving this girl. Wish there was a follow up video to see her all clean and pretty in her forever home.

Earth Angel's saving/helping an Angel w/fur! Thank You. O do the same when l can. So sad ppl don't get their pets neutered. Please go to a shelter to give a pet another chance. It's not their fault if they are hurt/damaged. Patience & love will show them they can trust again...in time.

My honey found our pup on the highway last year and picked him up so he wouldn't get run over. It was 3 weeks before Christmas and after a week of him being here I had to keep him. He was barley off his Mothers tit. No collar. Looked and posted on face book every day. called the shelters. Turned out to be my best friend ever. After he got a little older we figured out what he was. A golden retriever / german shepherd mix. Beautiful mid sized dog. He is so smart and friendly.

monmixer , I have a similar story but with a cat. After a month in the animal hospital I was able to bring Scarlet home. She died 10 years later when a cat sitter I hired for two weeks fed her dried food but no water. Scarlet was the best cat I ever had. When I found her she had been thrown from a car. Broken jaw, broken teeth, a bitten off tongue. Feline herpes in her eyes, a fever, she was matted with fleas and ticks but after she got well she loved me like no other animal ever did. God, how I miss her. 💕
