You have put the watermark somewhere where there is little or no movement, which makes it very easy for a thief to cover it up without spoiling the picture. Unfortunately, it would be better to put it over the ramp, so each mouse coming up would move through it, making it a major task to disguise. Better still would be putting a physical sticker on the flipping platform . The sticker would move in perspective as it flipped, and have mice moving over it, and could advertise the channel or product, or both.

@@DDRUTOU It's really not big enough. Imagine someone taking this exact clip and running it through Facebook's video compression without any cropping or editing of any sort. That watermark will look like a blur of dark pixels in downscaled-view and maybe even fullscreen view too. It doesn't have to be a "nuisance" if you just make it look good and fit right. It's a design element and an opportunity for branding. It's more of a nuisance right now because he's only half-assing it to [barely] protect his video.

Shawn, your Chinese messages were a nice touch, but one of them was botched because of using a font that did not support all the letters (so symbols were replaced with a boxed X) and the other, I fear, may be a mistranslation. You see, translators in general do not do very well with single words without context. “Free” is a word in English that has multiple meanings. It is a verb, and also a noun. Even the noun has several different meanings. When translating to another language, you have to choose which meaning you convey, because words are never 1-1 match between two languages. For example, in Finnish, "kuusi" means spruce, six, and your moon. Similarly, the English word "free" becomes multiple different alternative words when translated to another language. A translator has to choose _one_ of them. In this case, Google chose a word that means unrestrained rather than liberty or to liberate. But at least it didn’t choose the one that means gratis!

Shawn, the water mark is only destracting for a second because we get used to it. You should actually make it bigger and put it into areas with complex background, so anybody who wants to mask it out has more work to do. If you make it partly transparent, it's not even as noticeable. We all support you in protecting your hard earned content!

This reminds me of when I was in my young 20s, I was working 3rd shift in this old factory, and it was just me and this friend there. Our boss kept finding mouse droppings and chew marks around his office's kitchen area, so he would set up mouse traps and never catch a thing. So on one of our slow nights. I decided to dig through the buckets of scrap metal parts, since there was so much different stuff in there. I'd come up with a design for a mouse trap and my friend would help me perfect it. And within a few weeks all the mice were gone. We made a bunch of different traps, all of them non kill, but I think our success was really down to what we used for bait. Maybe if we were stuck working there long enough though we would have designed a trap worth selling. It was quite boring there.

The yellow bit just needs to be a bit taller and the overall circle wider for small metal drums or even barrels (I suppose I could adapt one but I'm not very good and building things). If I either put enough water at the bottom of a small metal drum or am able to put it over an old potato barrel I imagine I could catch nearly as many rats as you did mice!
