What even is the butt blasting

For real though, that mindset has become a problem on other social media like tumblr and AO3 where people are censoring themselves in tags. This is bad because censored tags aren’t pinged by keyword filters, which people have in place for a multitude of personal and professional reasons, and as a result people see content they don’t want to see. I’ve mainly seen this on sites like tumblr with new users that are used to how TikTok’s algorithm operates. For example, an assault survivor might have tags like rape or sexual assault blocked so they don’t get blindsided and triggered in a time or place where they can safely handle it. But new users who are used to TikTok’s arbitrary algorithm are using things “r@pe” instead (out of a fear of getting their account restricted) which gets thru filters and causes (hopefully) unintentional harm Additionally, censoring tags makes it harder to search by tags, since the search engine uses similar keyword filters to find what you’re looking for
