Interesting variation could be that when you’re selling a mon, you get the amount they paid into your “bank account”. For example say your opponent chose rayquaza for $4, then those four dollars would go into your bank account which would give you a bigger budget. Any extra money could be used for perks.

One day, Frank's focus band will pop, and it will be so hype.

I honestly can't remember the last time one of Frank's focus bands popped.

It was actually refreshing to see a battle used with Mid Pokémon lol

Tobin noticed his shinies, Frank missed multiple.

I questioned the $1 Slither Wing decision from Tobin in the beginning … but that came full circle! Lmao.

Having just come Vinny's final cagelocke episode, there was some slight sweet poetic justice from seeing frank get half swept by his own mon. Great fight overall though!

What if next time you have a total balance and your opponent has to pick a price for each pokemon (example 5, 10 and 15) without telling you which pokemon it is. So it could be mind games making the worse pokemon very expensive and forcing your opponent to waste money on it and stuff?

I like this format it has a lot of strategy

I just LOVE this concept. Just seeing two Pokemon of similar "value" and knowing that you have to price one of them 150-200% more than the other? So your opponent almost always gets a bargain? And then you have to strategize which one you're going to make the bargain and try to bait then into a team comp? The potential for mind games in this is CRAZY.

You should add another twist at the end after you’ve chosen your 6 starters each. The money you have left you can use for add one illegal move for 1$ and choose the ability for 2$ for one for your mons 😁

I think this video could be more interesting if you didn’t tell the opponent what they are picking from and only tell them the prices. Then they have to decide if they think you’re putting the higher price tag on the best pokemon or if you’re hiding a legendary or something under the $1 because you don’t want them to pick it.

Nice format! simpler than a lot of other past auctions but the transparency makes it more strategic, i like it Edit: I think this format would go well with regular abilities to add some extra depth to picks.

Hate when they talk excitedly about how a shiny is there when they manage to notice, but never communicate that the shiny was actually picked. That means every time the fight starts the shinies aren’t there. Tobin needed to tell Frank Vespiquen was shiny or he won’t know.
