Hey guys. How far from the eage of my deck I should set the metal leg bases of the pool taking in consideration how the pool liner expand when full? Thanks for your answer

Now THAT's a little slice of heaven right there! Ya'll never cease to amaze me with your skills. Agree with the bonus of never having to get your feet dirty. That's all the deck space you need. The more you have, the more maintenance, etc. Been there, done that and found smaller is where it's at, FOR SURE. Your concept and rail idea of "it's YOUR deck YOUR way" because "YOU CAN" is awesome. Whatever makes YOU happy and comfortable is the way it should be. LOVE LOVE!

Hi kids, love the pool deck..years ago we did the same thing, but ours was a 24ft round..was given a helpful hint for the ladder on the inside down in the water where the ladder rest on the liner...it was recommend to us to place two soft Terry towels folded one under each foot..this absorb the amount of pressure of the feet from rubbing down into the pool liner..as it is being used..just a precaution as to not make a hole....have a splashing good cool summer..

Because of the cantilever and the application, your correct on your use of the joist hangers. You will not get many kudos because most do not understand the logic. Great job !

I buy Diablo blades for everything big difference for sure.

It was about 90 with real feel temps around 95 when we built this. We worked morning to afternoon and quit for the day. 😮‍💨

Many hands make quick work.. Amish saying... enjoying your journey. Hey there. we just added an out door shower. We love it and use it all the time... hint hint .. it was ez breezy

You guys always do such a wonderful job on your projects. I’m sure this will give your family a great relaxing summer. Good timing considering the heat wave we’re having. ❤

joist hanger, you are so right, have built for over 35 years and have never seen anyone get it so right, never thought i would ever see or hear of someone that would take the time to think it out, keep up the good work.

That deck is strong enough for when your boys are bigger.....such memories for those kids. We helped my folks build our home in Encinitas CA, back when it was like Mayberry. Memories still with us and our kids, even though we're now in the Ozarks....memories are portable. Watching your family work together always takes me down memory lane 💓 BTW ... really like it when you make a start to finish video.

Using ties upside down is perfectly fine and approved for that use by the manufacturer for cantilevered joists.

We had pools in NJ for many years and fencing around the pool was required. We fenced in our yard to comply but where we're moving, Pennsylvania, that rule doesn't seem to apply since I see pools all over the area we're moving which have no fencing and can be seen clearly from the road. To keep dirt out of the pool, we had a bucket of water at the base of the stairs to rinse the dirt and grass off their feet before climbing up the ladder and entering the pool. It was actually just a heavy duty dish pan but it did the job. Love the decking you've done for the pool and I was wondering how you were going to attach the ladder to the deck, crafty thinking.

If the kids (or you) get too rowdy, you could put a shallow bucket of water at the deck entrance from the ground and dip your feet into it to wash off the dirt and grass. I absolutely love your deck!
