And for anyone getting those chinese mobo kits: There are modded bios for many of them to enable turbo boost on those xeons.

Awesome video guys. The CPU and MOBO combo looks sweet, that GPU seems like it held it back from its full potential.

it's the opposite the gpu is always at 100% so it's the bottleneck, not the cpu

I did a build in that Case about a month ago, great case for the price and perfect for a Xeon and RX 580 build. The airflow isn't the greatest but in the build I did the temps were well within manufactures specs. Not sure why you guys didn't Opt for a 80mm fan for the exhaust but I did and I didn't get a cheap one. The end result was satisfactory temps during 3Dmark Timespy stress test.

People often forget that all metal cases tend to cool much easier then those with acrylic side panels .

I recently bought one of the RX580 8GB 2048sp cards from Aliexpress and it's been a great performance boost for my media PC over the GTX970 that was previously in it. The only issue I had with the card is that the fans would run at full speed all the time and as such was quite noisy. The Adrenaline software would only let me dial them down to 40% fan speed as the minimum. In the end I had to install MSI Afterburner and use it to control the fans, now the card is near silent when idle.

Look pretty good! The greens actually work nicely!

I have a Sapphire 570 with 8GB and a Sapphire 580 (2304sp) 8GB. My nephew 9y was happy with it. Paired it with a i3-10100 They were and still are great little cards. However, they are stomped by the 6600. Pair the 6600 with a R5 3600 and you have a budget gaming rig or older titles.

You can get a upgraded version of this case with little holes all over the front for air flow and 2 frgb fans and a plastic windows side panel for 33€ from MARS Gaming...at least in europe

that's how cases came, "back in the day"...

Yeah that was a standard case they were so surprised america has spoiled them with all the brand cases . Back in the day cases had no brand it was just a case where you put your computer

Another fun video! Just built a hackintosh for video/photo editing, only cost me $75! Dell XPS 8500 Mobo with an i7-3770, 16gb ddr3, RX 580 RGB with a 600w PSU! Runs like a dream! All I want now is that same exact case!

I would love to see a build off between you two, but different than you have done it before. Set budget for both of you, maybe it’s $400, and then you roll for special factors. Special factors could be: all intel, all AMD, new GPU, no eBay, ARGB, etc… I feel like the way you do it currently allows too much variance between $600 to build a 30 fps Minecraft machine vs $300 for MW at 90 fps… this would actually be you fighting each other with the same budget but different limiting factors

Got a great deal on ARGB fans from Temu. Worked out to like $2 a fan and they work great.

They're building to a price point. What do you expect? Better GPUs cost more. And when it costs more, it doesn't hit the price point.

I am running a Kingspec NX Series 1 TB Nvme in my cheap rig and it works surprisingly well, passmark shows it right on the money.

I have the exact SSD for testing - its trash. It lasted about a week, weird stuff started happening, like the HDD LED would be on 100% of the time and the PC slowed down and sometimes locked up, eventually replaced it with another KingSpec (also Aliexpress) and all problems stopped. The X99 is really good value for money.

I actually did a similar build, and funny enough I did it for only 200 euros. The most expensive part was the PSU, but that's just bc I couldn't bring myself to buy a PSU from Asia with no warranty whatsoever, given how important a component that is (learned that the hard way 😅)

That’s how old cases were. Sometimes they’d slap a fan on the side for airflow lol

I've got lots of PC stuff from AliExpress it's not a bad place to get stuff at all as long as you are familiar with specs and everything

Little experience with the key sites, but the one I bought worked just fine till I changed my mobo (like expected). On the other hand, windows without activation doesn't really lose a lot, apart from the little activation mark

the easiest thing to find on these websites is CPU Air Coolers

That XEON is impressive. The RX 580 is at 100% while the Xeon tops at 30%.

The case doesn't seem that bad for what you'd call a office PC... It's 30$ case so if you are doing cheap build for someone who only does web browsing the it's fine. I can see it also good for like media PC where you don't need a high performance for PLEX or just to watch netflix using web browser because it's cheap and it doesn't have many moving parts so if the CPU cooler is quiet the PC is quiet.

I'd line that case with Dynamat to give it some weight and make SURE it's quiet. Yeah, that would make it more expensive...so why not just buy a different case? Because.

POV: You just saw their video and they mentioned doing a wish, aliexpress, and temu collab and you came to search for it

One thing to take note is that Xeon’s are capable of quad channel memory and this Pc isn’t running at 100% because of this

The highest fps is 108 and lowest 85 not bad for the specs you have

yes but it's a GPU-heavy pairing, better for 4K or 1440p ultra settings as you'd be CPU bottlenecked. What GPU do you have now?
