The squirrel one was from Charlie and the Chocolate factory, as well as the original book. The film they're thinking of is Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, which is the first film and has more changes from the book than CCF. WWCF changed it from squirrels to golden goose eggs because they could at least get real geese to sit still for 40 minutes to film the scene.

@@Seruphin honestly not a big fan of the Johnny Depp vesion, they kind of made Wonka look like a stereotypical pedophile. the origianl used geese partly for the reason of getting something that will sit still for the film and CGI was not a thing in the sense of anywhere close to what it is today.

Thirty seconds in and we're already witnessing the Yogscast get incinerated.

I occasionally go and rewatch that Charlie & the Chocolate Factory episode, the near universal detestation of Grandpa Joe (Rot in Pain) and Zoey's bewilderment are a salve for the soul.

Full respect to Zoey. I DO rememeber the initial episode she was referring to, and I laughed and groaned at the same time.

There's a fan theory that Charlie was the worse person to take over Wonka's factory. Violet, however, might have been the perfect choice as she's shown the ability to delay gratification in not chewing gum while trying to get the golden ticket, is very knowledgeable about sweets, and, despite eating the dinner gum, described every detail of the process as it happened to her.

Duncan was right. In the book Varuca Salt was taken away by squirrels who were doing nut quality control, there were no geese. She was a bad nut, not a bed egg.

The Johnny Depp version is a good movie and I'll die on that hill. It did something different and took a new tone/focus that made it unique to the original. Remakes shouldn't be one to one recreations, but reimaginings that try something new while keeping in line with the original. Also apparently the author of the original book like the Depp version more.

Veruca Salt is killed by the squirrels in the novel. In the movie, it's a golden goose/eggs or some shit. Duncan apparently recalls the novel though, because there is a room that the squirrels sort the "good" nuts from the "bad" nuts. Veruca demands from her father one of the squirrels as a pet, and when Wonka tells her father no, she has a temper tantrum. The squirrels then try to break open her skull and dispose of the "bad nut".

I actually watched the other CCFPC episode earlier this week. Great timing on reviving that!

There are times..... when I think that Lewis is a bit of a square. But now I see that the longer and longer that he's in Japan, the more unhinged the group gets in his absence. He's a grounding force that keeps them together. He's the glue. Without him, it all falls apart. Also, Zylus... at a certain point, the level of trolling you are doing changing it from "RDM" to "self-defense" or "justifiable-outro".

"what if they were impersonating an impersonator"... Why does that sound like such a good idea. Like have a glitch variant that is a deputy however it will still show impersonator to the traitors. Drawback would be you couldn't have a real deputy since that would basically be 2 deputys. Might work with an impersonator on the traitor team however it would give the glitch away if the impersonator saw a glitch with the impersonator symbol above their head.

The yogs have accumulated such a wonderful TTT family. We just need our crazy Uncle Tom to pop in for the holidays and we are perfect!

As soon as the Chocolate Factory was referenced I remembered that episode, and I'm glad Zoey brought it up!
