Really loving the content lately, T90! I've been a lurker on the channel for a few years and I don't avidly play AOE2. When you're introducing each player & going over their civilizations, I love that you've been adding stats on the side because I don't know all the civ's attributes. It helps me learn more even if I'm not playing and I appreciate that! ♥

I really, really appreciate that you bring up the techs and bonuses on screen now Hardy, that is a great addition and now I don't have to keep tabbing to a wiki during videos.

. . . So I didn't get to see the infinite horde of Rider of Rohan in their heroic charge? We didn't even get to watch the game crash. :(

I wasn't there live, but maybe it instantly crashed when they researched the tech and never saw the huge amounts of cav. So hardy/T90 cut the part of cutting, placing buildings/ getting techs. Not much to see then, than an average black forest but takes a lot of extra time for the video

I just watched the twitch vod. It crashed when they started making lots of cav. There was no fighting.

Chakram Throwers are so broken with shared techs. I watched some of TWest's CivBuild FFA tournament, and Chakram Throwers absolutely destroyed everything.

People in chat kept saying Vikings didn't have their old bonus. They do! It just got re-structured, so the Beserks get their +40hp/min. regen upon hitting Elite. They just didn't have any civs to synergize with, sad day for the Bear Shirts. Please watch the Spirit of the Law video for more information on the Bearded Capey Bois ;D Also, WaffleCopter is my favorite from this game because he quoted Kerrigan, the Queen of Blades, from Starcraft II: "The Swarm hungers." From arround 1:06:10 there's so much beserkers' capes on the floor that there's a beatiful teal carpet next to the wonder.

Grey was the smartest player but was way too merciful, and ram pushed Red far too late Red had the most evil units and was the true villain that needed combined efforts of everyone to defeat Teal wielded lots of energy, but was dumb and betrayed everyone, giving the most destructive player victory

Grey should've rammed blue and teal out of the game. Then he could push red's Frisbees with his trebs and win middle. Elephants and berserkers weren't touching red, they were just stopping grey from winning.. in FN if you have a chance to knock one neighbor out you take it.

Ah yes, another day, another 90 minutes spent watching bunch of people play a 25 year old game I have never even played.

Try against the game's AI, it's easy and fun

This is masterpiece! Imo the most interesting detail in all of it was the "rock-paper-scissors"-ish triangle of countering. T90 slightly mentioned it at some point, but I wanna appreciate amazing implication of it: dynamics by the last third of session had some cyclic seasons: red chakrams beats teal berserks, then grey trebs beats chakrams, then berserks beats trebs and then repeating. Impressing and sad was the final, where teal breaks the "cirlce of life" (or circle of death?) and allows his own counter to bloom and win thanks to lost balance of forces.

@@421FourTwoOne I mean it kinda backfired on him because blue was spending a great deal of his time attacking grey's units while grey was trying to set them up to take out red's chakrams. It was pretty apparent that there was very little chance of red losing that match unless someone got into his back line and took out his castles

Thanks for showing the unique civ techs at the side of the screen during introductions. It's pretty helpful for people like me who don't play the game but like watching the community games.

I parrot the sentiment that your personality is what helped that Forest Nothing game and your channel grow so much. If not just the T90 stories and general positivity your knowledge of the game makes it insanely fun to watch. I may be able to watch any old Forest Nothing match but I can only watch a Forest Nothing match where the caster can tell me every individual civ bonus and matchup while I'm watching here on your channel. On top of that you usually have a bit of backstory on the players playing? Adds an insane amount of depth to the content. I know you probably don't need to hear it but keep it up!

I remember seeing forest nothing video on my feed and saying cool people are still playing this game. Now I also play this great game. It's been 8 great years.

So sad to see no one picked Saracens. * ahem * Bimaristan: friendly units in a 5 tile radius around Monks heal 75 HP per minute. Now crank that to 10x and see why it is the BEST tech for 10x Tech Games. Your whole army is being healed passively for 750 HP per minute by a single Monk, who is ~40 tiles away. Seriously, why are Healers so underrated in this game? It's almost like Restoration isn't treated as a perfectly valid school of magic, despite being the one that keeps all others running.

I think the multiple tech community games are my favorite because even after 10 years of following AOE2 content on KZread, these games almost always bring something new and funny with all the civ combos and creativity. This was effectively a stalemate. Without a shake-up like what Teal did at the end (or Gray was trying by going for Red's production) this could have gone on forever. Teal is the king maker and winner in our hearts.

gray has sent a lot of choo-choo to die in the middle, or let them pass through chakrams and never destroyed blue base. I think it was not a stalemate. Gray was overconfident and did not considered the unlogical teal attack...

It was a stalemate, but red clearly had the upper hand. Without some alternative strategies, red was going to win. But then, teal decided to remove any possibility of anyone but Red winning, for some reason... If they instead teamed up on red more, potentially allowing grey to cripple their production, then maybe it could have been a more equal battle at the end. Great game though.

If gray had rammed both blue and teal out he would be able to push red with his trebs and win the game. Blue and teal weren't making a dent on red's Frisbees only grays trebs were. Judging by teal's base size gray could've rammed it quite quickly if he focused.

I feel like gray could have kept teal away pretty easily by setting up a permanent force of trebs ground attacking the chokepoint that gray came out of.

i can't believe teal just threw so hard an attacked the only player that could stop red. it doesn't even make sense that he suddenly goes for grey after red killed him all game.

It is so random that for some reason the order of the players on the map makes it that each player: - wins to the player on his right side - loses to the player to his left side This can go on forever until one is sacrificed

What a fun video, I think it was the best forest nothing 10x of all time

I still think that All Techs with civ bonuses would be more interesting. Like think Britons with Thumb ring, Romans with Plate mail, Bulgarians with Champions and Paladin, Georgians with Paladin, and so on.

I think siege elephant would be the best unit here. Free, hp regeneration, and bonus damage from Gurjaras so they would DESTROY buildings And no one even try that 😢

Ahh! Great game but the ending was disappointing, the Chakras were OP and I'd liked to have seen Teal, Grey, and Blue take out Red and then have a fair fight in the middle. Teal shouldn't have turned.

I think if grey had tried ramming red done before the clock was that low he could have done it. But by the time he tried it he needed to keep trebs in the middle and couldn't send 200 pop rams to red

I'll never understand why noone exploits the ability to build farms on fallen trees. Gain 3 squares in seconds once you have 2x3 cleared and 1x3 fallen trees. Start farm, delete, repeat. It's not like you'll run out of wood.

I haven’t been in a forest nothing match myself, but on other maps, this doesn’t work sadly. It only works on stragglers, not actual forests, although if you or someone else knows for sure otherwise, then idk why no one uses it.
