In USSR in the 30s formula was looking like that car- car name are gaz gl1 but the bolid was much more bigger- the pilot can sit in from back open back door ..

You know, I wouldn't mind seeing this thing get resurrected as a drag cart or something like that. That would be really cool, it just looks mean like a rat rod does. Thing has potential

Definitely put a suspension on it and lengthen it. A nice vtwin or 4cyl 600+cc. Best looking cart in the fleet

I converted a vertical shaft lawnmower engine into a horizontal shaft once too! At least that’s what it looks like the last owners did. It’s such a great learning experience but I never got to finish the cart.

I think me and my friends may have actually had the worst go kart. We pooled our money to buy it. It was always breaking - rear axle, chain, sprockets. We took turns driving it, It had a McCullough chain saw engine running direct drive without a clutch so you had to be in it and have the other guys push start you to get going. It was really fast when it ran, It had a wide open throttle with a kill switch so you were either full throttle or off. When you powered on it threw you back and things got blurry and you just had to hang on. We rode it everywhere: parking lots, school playgrounds, school track and a lot on the street. We had the police make us stop riding it a couple of times. They should have taken it away from us. It did not have any brakes. Not saying it had bad brakes. It did not have brakes. Ah the 70's. Somehow we survived.
