@@jeandarnell1531 I think predators are less of a problem in Europe. Humans have pretty much driven everything dangerous to extinction. Where I'm from, it's also normal to just let chickens walk around outside, without worrying about predators.

I am truly impressed with your landscaping skills. The type of flowers and the sway of them across your land breathed beauty in every glance. I too love the astilbe!! They make a hydrangea that are the same colors as the astilbe! I do not know if you can have lilacs where you live. But if you like scented flowers like the roses, there’s nothing in the world more heavenly than lilacs right outside your window. Will your farm have a name? When I raised Haflingers, my farm was called charming acres. I have been following the two of you and I’m so happy that you made this leap. Congratulations from Ohio in the United States from a 63-year-old grandmother!

heldenhaftig Yes I’m sure they have people who helped tend their farm. But it does not take away from the skills and creativity of producing and maintaining garden worthy of praise and joy. The person who mucks the stable Is as essential as the person who built the stable, is as essential as the person who designed the stable. One person could be all three. Same with the garden. I would not less admire this garden If they had a gardener who tended to it. But What is the most compelling emotionally, is to see the music of the colors in the sway Of the forms and how they collectively work together to create such a gorgeous landscape. I have Worked in the landscaping field and I can tell when a professional company designs a garden And when an owner of the land puts their heart and soul into the design. This garden are these young men’s song.

Not sure if he said two rows of 8 or two rows of 6, but.... Matt explained he was calculating as far as 16 stall-sized spaces. And he said several were going to be for feed room; tack room (2); grooming/wash stall; maybe a storage area for muck tub and other equipment; blanket and show stuff storage...; so that already leaves only 9 or 10 for stalls. It is amazing how much space horses' "stuff" takes up. Lol, and I have seen their videos organizing their tack and horse supplies and they have a lot!!! My barn is 4 stalls (one used for hay and shavings storage for now since I only have 2 horses), 2-stall-size area for tack and feed, and 1 area for grooming/wash area. And you never know, they might get a working student at some point...

The Hydrangeas may change colors depending on your soil chemistry. You could end up with multi colored blooms. We had one that came up with blue, pink and purple blooms.

Wow, looking amazing! I would love to afford a place like this one day! Matt could I make a couple suggestions for your paddocks? A couple Willow trees would be awesome in the paddocks, they give great shelter and the leaves are really beneficial for grazing. The other is I suggest you plant a hedge of Rosemary (maybe along the fence line of the paddocks by the lawn?) as Rosemary is great for deterring flies!

That corner out by the gate might just need pushed back with a sweepy curve not square & the feed room, besides the paint(anti mold) it needs A ventilation VENT. Air flo WILL help.. The driveway where bricks get crushed might need real pretty crushed rock or a strip of new asphault...Congrats boys. Yall have a beautiful place. For a second i thought yall had to move! Water the apple trees LOTS. should help them make it, if they will. Plant a baby apple too!....Yay!!! bro gets a Granny house...lol👍Sweet...GLAD TO SEE YALL ARE DOING SO WELL!! Your landscaping is FABULOUS!!! It was pretty before, but now it’s stellar! You have an Idyllic “cottage” manse….I love the thatched roof and the way you mixed your flower beds. I am going to copy some of your ideas! Love the deep purple tree rose surrounded by the astilbe. The chicken palace is wonderful! Lot’s of roosting space for the hens. USE your compost on your garden beds, don’t remove it!!! (OMG the death stare Matt gave Jesse when they were talking about where the future stables will go! LOL! Poor Jesse! ) I wish I had it together at your age to buy a home. I hope you will stay there forever and enjoy the paradise you have made.

Chickens can help control the flies that accompany horses and cattle. Mother Nature can be called on for Fly control by sprinkling the chicken feed on and around the cow patties and such. Flies lay their eggs in the patties and the chickens feast on the fly larvae. This system works great with a movable chicken coop.

Are they officially a couple then? Congratulations! Next step, the wedding !

@@szamashups2476 i totally get your question. what difference would it make?... to "us"...no difference at all. not when it comes to the respect, the interest in what theyre doing. They are absolutely lovely. So no, no difference. At all. BUT...(and PLEASE, dont get me wrong, im not talking about "obligations" or some bullshit!)...but visibility always makes some sort of difference. Not only in the lgbtqia+ community. But always and in any case. The more people who decide to be visibile are in fact a huge help to make sure that there actually is gonna be a time when young people, boys, girls and every gender on the spectrum, dont need to feel ashamed for the only fact that they are capable of love. Of the fact that "love" is not only between men and women, boys and girls. Or of the fact that they identify themselves as some part of the "in between" or "on the spectrum". Nobody, and i mean that, nobody is obligated to come out. "Coming out" is the most intimate thing people could think of. It shows "who you are" to the core. BUT, of course this decision needs to be made by every single person for themselves. If, and im saying IF for a reason, they happen to be gay, bi, queer or are in any way related to the lgbtqia+ community (which we dont know and they deserve that we believe whatever theyre saying or/and especially not saying), they would be an awesome ally. But even that, its up to them to decide if they want to be exactly that.

The property as a whole looks stunning but those gardens, wow so much hard work and effort has been put into them. The look absolutely amazing and I am sure smell beautiful. Congratulations to the both of you.

It was nice to see the horses. They look peaceful and happy in their pastures. Suggestion: Get rid of all the moldy roofing and siding in the feed room and start new. Mold is very hard to get rid of. You could make a paddock Trail for the Horses and a roof over the riding area will be nice in hot summers and rainy days :D very nice place!

Y’all are so mature & grounded! I realize this is one of a handful of sunny days in Holland, but it’s so pretty! My sister was a Holland exchange student way back in the 70s. It’s always been on my Bucket List. With the horses, pups & the ladies (hens!)...y’all could be an ambassador to the Netherlands.

I know they are stallions, matt keeps reminding us every video like ‘my 5 year old stallion’ ‘my huge stallion’. It’s so fanny and cute hahaha

Kathy V M stallions can live with other horses if they are given the right opportunity. I follow people that have stallions right beside mares and they are fine and calm. So it’s possible but it’s not surprising if they aren’t willing to take that risk considering there’s a mare there

linn Ekström yeah its just the stables aren’t very spaced so they probably wouldn’t be able to keep both stallions in that same stable block even with horses between them
